I'm a huge fan of Xiaomi, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on the Redmi 4 Pro. In this review, I'll give you an honest rundown of the phone's pros and cons, what I love about it, and what I don't. I'll also answer the question that's probably on everyone's mind: can you write a review entirely from the phone, from scratch?

Where to buy: I ordered mine from China, check it out here. The waiting time was agonizing, but I'm glad I waited. I ordered on March 8th, and the seller took their sweet time sending it out. It wasn't until I sent them a follow-up email a week later that they finally shipped it. I received the phone on April 22nd.

Price: 9800 rubles, which is a great value for the features you get. Keep in mind that due to the fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate, it's now more expensive - 10900 from this seller. However, if you order from Ali, you can get 3% back on the amount, which is a nice perk.

Kit: The phone itself and a charger with a converter for our plug, plus the seller threw in a pretty terrible screen protector and a basic transparent case that my daughter has promised to paint with acrylics in a cosmic theme.

One thing that caught my eye is the phone's metal body, which is surprisingly heavy. It weighs 165 grams, just like the seller claimed. The phone feels nice in the hand, and I'm glad I chose the white color with a silver trim.

It supports two SIM cards. I'm using one, and I've got a memory card from my old phone in the second slot - all my photos are now on the new phone without a hitch!

The battery life is amazing! I only charge my phone every two days, even with pretty heavy use - social media, email, writing reviews, browsing the web, taking photos, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and my fitness tracker is always connected via Bluetooth. I do occasionally play games, but it's not every day. The seller claims it can last 9 days in standby mode, but I've never managed to test that out - my phone's always on the go! 217 hours standby time | 48 hours talk time | 14 hours gaming time | 16 hours video playback time

Display 1920x1080 Full HD 5" delivers incredibly good color reproduction! You can also switch to reading mode. On a bright sunny day, you can barely see a thing on the screen. The screen has high brightness and color saturation. You can see details more clearly, especially when watching videos or playing games. It also comes with eye protection mode, say goodbye to eye strain.

Android 6.0.1 is installed on the phone. The interface is very simple and user-friendly. It's intuitive and easy to navigate. You think about it, and it's already done. I switched from a Windows phone to Android, and it feels like coming home after a long and tedious journey. The phone works extremely fast, without any lag or delay. You don't have to wait for several agonizing seconds for the phone to open something, like it used to on Windows. Everything happens lightning-fast! That's a huge plus.

13MP Camera. I'm super happy with the quality of the photos and videos it takes. My husband even said my phone takes better pics than his digital camera! One minor downside: it struggles to take photos in low-light conditions with the flash. But honestly, I don't take photos in those conditions often, so it's not a huge deal for me. Zooming in on the photos shows just how good they are.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro Now, let's take a closer look at the flash... Photos with mushrooms and then with people, taken with a few minutes in between, without flash, and with flash. I wanted to share how many people showed up to the festival in Ostankino, but it didn't quite work out.

Extra I immediately bought a screen protector from another seller and a pair of silicone cases. The phone's rear surface is matte, not as slippery as glossy, but when it's in a case, I like it better, and it's also less stressful)) And with a screen protector, there's hope that if the device falls, the screen protector will break instead of the phone itself (again, speaking from experience with my daughter's phone).

Let me tell you, it was impossible on my Windows phone, just couldn't do it, the text box would constantly jump back to the top of the page, one major frustration, but on the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro, that doesn't happen! YES, YOU CAN!!! And I've actually gotten into the habit of writing reviews start to finish on the phone. It's super convenient, I can write anywhere, anytime, in any spare moment I have.

I've found it's a breeze to take quality photos with the Redmi 4. Not only can I snap photos, but I can also edit them with a single tap. The camera settings let me shoot in different modes, and sometimes I don't even need to edit the photos at all, just crop them. The built-in tools in the gallery allow me to crop, add a simple filter, or adjust the brightness and contrast if needed.

When I do need more advanced editing, I can add text, stickers, or create a collage with the awesome app PicsArt, which handles it all seamlessly.

Writing a review on the site? No problem at all. It looks just like typing on a computer, well, maybe not as comfortable, but that's just a matter of getting used to it. I'm happy with it.

One thing I do want to mention about the gallery is that it can be slow to load when scrolling through photos. That's my only major gripe with the phone.
