My Sunlight Double Braid Bracelet Upgrade: A Game-Changing Purchase

summarizeEditor's Summary

I recently traded in two old gold rings from an ex for a shiny new Sunlight Double Braid Bracelet, and I gotta say, it's been a total game-changer for my jewelry collection. The exchange program at Sunlight is super straightforward – just take your old gold to a store, get it evaluated, and they'll give you a quote. I used the program to upgrade my old gold for a stunning white gold bangle, and I'm loving the result. The process is pretty painless, and the value for money is top-notch. The Sunlight Double Braid Bracelet is a stunning piece of jewelry that's worth every penny. I'm so glad I made the switch from my old gold rings to this beautiful new bangle.

My Sunlight Double Braid Bracelet Upgrade: A Game-Changing Purchase
I recently discovered the Sunlight exchange program for old jewelry, and I'm so glad I did! I had two old rings from an ex that I hadn't worn in ages and didn't plan on wearing again. They were a decent amount of gold, and I thought, why not turn them in for something new?
The exchange program is available at all Sunlight locations. I exchanged my old gold for 6,500 rubles per gram of 585 purity gold (stone inlays aren't factored in, they're subtracted from the total weight). It's a great way to upgrade your jewelry and get something you'll actually wear.
The process is pretty straightforward. You take your old jewelry to a Sunlight store, and they'll evaluate it and give you a quote. They'll need to see your passport, and they'll give you a document. Then, they'll deduct the value of your old gold from your order.
I wasn't picky about the brand, but I wanted a gold bangle in white gold, not too thin and not hollow. I visited the Sanlight store, and the sales associate evaluated my old jewelry. She quoted me 42,000 rubles, but unfortunately, they didn't have any small sizes available. They suggested I come back another time, but I was only there for the bangle, so I decided to order something online that I liked and come back later.
So, they'll first take your old gold, count it, check it, and then quote you a price. You'll need to bring your passport, and they'll give you a document. Then, they'll deduct the value of your old gold from your order.
I chose a bangle with a beautiful double-rose gold diamond pattern from Moscow Chain Factory in 585-proof gold. I already have some of their jewelry, and I'm really happy with the quality. The only thing that disappointed me was that the bangle in my size wasn't available at the store that day. The sales associate didn't even bother to check properly; she just said they didn't have any bangles in 16-17 sizes. It was frustrating to have to go back to the store twice.
The price I paid for this rose gold bangle was 44,232 rubles, and I got 42,965 rubles for my old gold. The extra I had to pay was 1,267 rubles.
I went with the Double Roman weave because I already have a silver bangle in the Garibaldi weave and a gold chain, and I wanted something new. Plus, the Roman weave just seemed more interesting – it's stricter and more minimalist.
The packaging of the bracelet is seriously impressive – it comes in a special pouch with gold-toned buttons and the brand's logo. Inside, there's a soft padding with rubber grips that keep the bracelet in place. I'm not sure what material it's made of, but it looks like thin velvet or something similar.
It looks really high-end, to be honest. Even if I were buying it as a gift, I wouldn't consider any other packaging.
The bracelet itself is stunning, with a beautiful, regal color. I'm not usually a fan of rose gold, but I'm glad I went with this option. It looks expensive, elegant, and understated all at once. It looks great on a slim wrist and doesn't overwhelm the hand.
I'm a fan of delicate jewelry, but this time I wanted a chunkier bracelet that's not too bulky. I think I nailed it – it's perfect and will fit in with any outfit, just classic.
It's surprisingly heavy, but you barely notice it when you're wearing it.
The clasp is a spring-loaded one, and I've got no complaints about it. I've got loads of jewelry with this type of clasp, and none of them have ever come undone.
I'm really glad I got rid of some unnecessary jewelry and upgraded to this beautiful bracelet.
I'd definitely recommend this bracelet – it's perfect as a gift or just for yourself!
