FariTol C Lozenges with Licorice and Thyme

I've tried a bunch of cough drops, but FariTol C Lozenges really deliver. They've got a unique combo of licorice and thyme that soothes your throat and calms that annoying cough in no time. It's a total game-changer for getting a good night's sleep and feeling more energized throughout the day.

Budget Cough Tablets (Faritols) Fizzled for Me

summarizeEditor's Summary

I recently picked up the BAD VTF Faritol S Tablets for dissolving with Licorice Root + Thyme, hoping to kick my dry cough. The pharmacist at my local pharmacy swore by them, saying they're a fan favorite. Unfortunately, these tablets didn't do the trick for me. I took them as directed, but the cough persisted. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I expected more from a product that's supposed to be so effective. The verdict's still out on these tablets – maybe they'll work wonders for you, but they didn't do the job for me. I appreciate that the product is designed to address a specific issue – dry cough – and the tablets come in a convenient format for dissolving with Licorice Root + Thyme. However, the price of 230 rubles isn't bad, considering the product's supposed benefits. The production is from Russia, which could be a selling point for some people. I'm a bit disappointed that the product's effectiveness is still unclear to me, and I was hoping for more noticeable relief from my symptoms.

When I first started getting a dry cough, the pharmacist at my local pharmacy recommended I pick up BAD VTF Faritol S Tablets for dissolving with Licorice Root + Thyme. Apparently, this supplement is a fan favorite and can help you kick the cough before it turns into something worse. I took her advice and bought it.
So, today I'm sharing my review of BAD VTF Faritol S Tablets for dissolving with Licorice Root + Thyme.
BAD VTF Faritol S Tablets for dissolving with Licorice Root + Thyme - reviewPrice: 230 rub.
Production: Russia
Place of purchase: local pharmacy
Packaging.
The tablets come in a small, eye-catching package with an image of licorice root on the front.
On the back, you'll find the ingredients and composition of the tablets.
There are also usage recommendations and contraindications listed. It's convenient that all this information is right on the package, so you don't have to read the instructions.
But, of course, the instructions are there too. It's essentially just a larger-print version of the information on the back of the package.
Composition and area of application of Faritole - reviewI was impressed by the detailed explanation of how each component affects the body.
Active components of Faritole - reviewSlippery elm root extract:It helps to loosen and clear mucus from the bronchi by increasing its volume and hydration, without irritating the bronchial mucosa
It has expectorant and soothing properties, reducing coughing fits and inflammation
It exhibits anti-inflammatory, antitoxic, and wound-healing properties
It also has a spasmolytic effect
Thyme leaf extract:It stimulates the secretory activity of the bronchial mucosa, making it easier to breathe
It helps to reduce the frequency and intensity of coughing fits
It has antibacterial properties, effective against antibiotic-resistant pathogens
Vitamin C:It boosts the immune system's resistance and supports repair processes
It plays a role in the production of interferon, a compound with antiviral properties
It's a powerful antioxidant that protects the body from oxidative stress
Form of release.
Faritole is presented in the form of lozenges, which were packaged in a blister pack.
Faritole VTFT lozenges with Slippery Elm and Thyme - review
I found the packaging of 25 lozenges in a single blister pack to be quite unusual, considering you're supposed to take 2 lozenges per day, and the number of lozenges is odd.
I'm impressed by the size of these tablets - they're a decent medium, with a brownish-gray color and a texture that's got some sort of specks to it. They're densely packed, but they don't crumble or break apart easily, and they dissolve gradually in your mouth.
When to take Faritole.
Faritole with licorice and thyme is recommended for:
reducing coughing, dry cough or when you're having trouble clearing mucus, when you've got a cold and your upper respiratory system is feeling rough.
My pharmacist recommended this supplement for dry cough, and I've been following the dosage instructions.
How to use it.
According to the instructions, you're supposed to take one tablet in the morning and one at night.
You're supposed to dissolve the tablets in your mouth, and the course of treatment lasts for two weeks.
I followed the instructions to the letter. I'd dissolve the tablets after breakfast and dinner, then wait for about 30 minutes to an hour before eating or drinking anything.
The tablets dissolved at a decent pace - not too quickly, but not too slowly either, especially when you're getting tired of dissolving them and start to gnaw on them instead.
Taste.
I'll be honest, it's tough to put into words the taste of these tablets - it's like a strong, earthy herbal flavor, but with a hint of bitterness.
At first, the taste seems overpowering, but after a couple of days, you get used to it and it doesn't seem so bad.
The results.
Of course, relying solely on these tablets to cure an illness is unrealistic. When I feel myself getting sick, I immediately start taking antiviral meds and upping my vitamin C intake.
I've noticed that when I stop taking my daily vitamins D3, omega, and C (usually on holidays or vacations), I'm more prone to getting sick.
So, as soon as I feel the first symptoms of a cold coming on, I start taking 1000mg of vitamin C, sometimes even 1500mg a day.
I was expecting these Faritol tablets to help boost my immune system and alleviate my cough, either by getting rid of it quickly or turning it into a productive cough with mucus.
It's weird that the manufacturer recommends taking 2 tablets a day for 2 weeks, but the pack only has 25 tablets, not 28. But I didn't feel like buying a new pack just for 3 extra tablets.
The tablets dissolve easily, leaving a herbal aftertaste and a feeling of a thin film coating my tongue. It's like my tongue is wrapped in a thin layer, but it's not uncomfortable.
I won't say that these tablets did me any favors with my cough - they didn't alleviate it, and to make matters worse, my throat started to hurt from all the coughing.
I'm not sure if these tablets actually made things worse, but that's what happened. My cough got worse with each passing day, and it was hard to hack up anything. In the end, I had to switch to a different medication.
It's hard to say whether these tablets worked or not, but they definitely didn't make things better.
No side effects from taking Faritole were noticed.
I won't be buying Faritole tablets again, that's for sure.
