The cold nights became a regular occurrence, not just in August and September, but also in July. It was chilly, damp, rainy, and sunny - a true autumn.

I had to come to Moscow for a couple of days, and I ended up in crowded areas like the metro, train station, and ticket counters.

And guess what? I returned to my dacha not alone but with a cold I picked up somewhere.

We all catch colds, get sick, and infect ourselves and those around us.

Our bodies react differently to the initial symptoms of a cold. Some people's noses start to run, while others experience a sore throat, chills, and so on.

For me, the first sign is when the inside of my lower lip on the right side starts to tingle. As soon as it starts to tingle, I know I'm in for a nasty case of herpes.

So, what is herpes?

This whole setup is firmly attached to my lip, stings, itches, and hurts. I have to be careful not to touch it, moisten it, or get it wet. Talking is a challenge, and smiling is almost impossible.
