We booked a 4-star hotel in Istanbul through Yandex Travel for 4 nights from October 8th to 12th, 2025, for a whopping 32,400 rubles. But when we arrived, they stuck us in a tiny room at the ILKAY, a 3-star hotel in an old building, which would've cost us 23,000 rubles for the same dates. The receptionist told us to take it up with Yandex, since they're the ones providing the wrong information. We were exhausted and didn't have the energy to argue, so we reluctantly stayed in the subpar room for the price of a 4-star hotel.
I immediately reached out to Yandex's customer support on October 8th, sending them all the photos of our situation. But as of today, I've yet to receive a response beyond a generic message saying they're looking into it. That's how Yandex treats their corporate clients, folks.
