Taste & Degree, Russia, Barnaul

This Russian brand from Barnaul is making waves with its bold flavor combinations. Taste & Degree is all about pushing the boundaries of what we expect from a canned goods product like this. With innovative taste profiles, they're changing the way we enjoy our meals, and I'm loving the creativity they bring to the table.

A Hidden Gem in My Hometown

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm obsessed with Vkus & Gradus, a local treasure in Barnaul's Prospect Krasonarmeysky 112. This hidden gem is tucked away near the Polzunov restaurant, but trust me, it's worth seeking out. The store's interior is just as impressive as its exterior, with a unique blend of modern and traditional elements that'll make you feel right at home. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I'd found something special.

Hello there!
I'm super stoked to share my experience with the new store, 'Vkus & Gradus', located on Prospect Krasonarmeysky 112, near the Polzunov restaurant in my hometown of Barnaul.
The store is open daily from 9 am to 10 pm, which is pretty convenient.
Interior:
The store is small, but it's got this awesome unique charm that I really dig. The main interior features are the shelves, coolers, and a cash register.
They position themselves as a farm-to-table store, offering a pretty cool variety of products.
Product Assortment:
When I first visited, I was totally drawn to the various conserves and jams. I mean, who wouldn't be interested in bear or marmot conserves, right?
They've got a pretty wide selection of frozen pre-made meals, like fish or stuffed peppers, which look like they're made at home.
I didn't buy any, but I'm super eager to try them.
The prices are a bit higher than what I'm used to, but I guess that's to be expected from a farm-to-table store.
What I Bought:
My first purchase was some delicious cheese cookies and gingerbread - they were incredibly fresh and tasty.
When I went back the second time, the cookies were already two weeks old, and although the staff assured me they last longer, I think cheese cookies should be enjoyed fresh. I didn't buy the gingerbread, but my friends did, and unfortunately, it was a bit dry.
If you buy something fresh, it's definitely worth it, but do ask about the freshness.
The prices for baked goods are pretty reasonable, around 600-700 rubles per kilogram.
I'd say the store is an interesting and unique find, but my second purchase didn't exactly live up to my expectations.
