We decided to base ourselves in a quaint little settlement called Agoy, but we often ventured out to nearby towns and cities. One day, we decided to visit the charming town of Tuapse.

I know some kids have been to a lot of tourist spots in Russia, but I was one of the lucky ones who hadn't - until now. The Black Sea is my third beach experience in 27 years, and I've been to Eysk, Yalta, and finally, the Krasnodar region this year.

I'm not sure if I'd repeat the trip anytime soon. The southern vibe just didn't click with me, and the weather was way worse than I expected – the heat was pretty tough for a wimp like me too.

It's super loud.Tuapse is a port city, and the constant sound of ships, trucks, and trains can really put a damper on your relaxing vacation. It's especially bad during peak season when there are loads of tourists around. It's like a never-ending stream of noise, horns, and activity. I'm not sure about the electric scooters, but I did spot a few, and they would've added to the chaos.

That's basically the main reason we didn't choose Tuapse for our beach vacation.

The drive was actually fantastic! Nature and Landscapes.I've fallen in love with Tuapse's stunning mountain scenery and lush green forests. I can see why artists come here to recharge and tap into their creative energy. The views? Absolutely breathtaking! I highly recommend checking out the Kiselev Museum – it's a charming little cottage perched on the top of the city, offering a stunning view of the city and the sea.

I loved being in the water, but by late September, we weren't in it for as long as we would've liked. Maybe the storms that rolled in had something to do with it, or maybe it was just the time of year. Either way, the Ague Sea is cleaner and just as warm, and it's a bonus that there are no roads alongside it.

They're more rushed, more chaotic, but they love to offer you something (and why not, it's tourist season after all).
