Hello everyone, and welcome to my review!
I recently had the chance to watch the latest horror movie in the Art franchise, and let me tell you, it's a real doozy.
I knew going in that this film was rated 18+, which already hinted at some pretty intense scenes. And boy, was I right – there are some seriously graphic moments in this movie.
But what really caught me off guard was the combination of violence and erotic scenes – it's definitely not for the faint of heart.
All the screenshots are from the trailer, and I'm not giving away any spoilers!
If you've seen the previous movies in this series, you're probably wondering the same thing I was – where did this clown come from, and why is he killing everyone?
One of the standout features of "Terrifying 3" for me is finally getting some answers to these questions.
I think the creators of the Art clown franchise have finally shown some conscience, because this is the fourth movie in the series, and it's the first one to give us some real backstory.
So, if you've seen the previous movies, it's definitely worth checking out "Terrifying 3" to get some closure.
The second plus of the movie 'Terrifying 3' - and this is probably the only movie in the franchise that was shot very well. The first movies were shot so poorly and of such low quality that it sometimes seemed like they were filming with a phone, not a camera.
Of course, the fact that 'Terrifying 3' didn't skimp on filming and was shot very realistically won't please everyone, because it's a horror movie. And realistic horror scenes, a sea of blood, and a lot of gore won't appeal to everyone. But if you're going to watch a movie about that creepy clown Art, you need to think if your psyche can handle it - it's well-known that movies about this terrifying clown aren't for everyone.
On top of that, you should also consider that the movie is long.
How long does the movie 'Terrifying 3' last?
The movie lasts 2 hours and 5 minutes, so it's a long, gruesome horror movie that's only shown in theaters, and if you go to see it, you'll see all those horrors on a big screen. The creators of the movie really showed their imagination there, so think if it's worth going to see this movie.
Another plus of this movie is that all the same characters and actors are in it.
David Howard Thornton, the one and only in the role of that creepy clown, is simply unforgettable.
I've got to say, I'm a huge fan of Lauren Laverne in the role of main antagonist Cici Shaw, who first appeared in Scream 2. I'm glad she's also the main character in Scream 3.
She's just so lovely, endearing, and makes you feel for her, and you really want her to win against that terrifying clown, so you're on the edge of your seat the whole time.
And of course, the terrifying main antagonist Victoria Hayes, the embodiment of evil. If you haven't seen the previous movies in the franchise, let me tell you who Victoria Hayes is (no spoilers, it's from the previous movies and important for understanding the plot)
Victoria Hayes is a character in the Scream franchise. Victoria first appeared in Scream (2016) as a girl being chased by a serial killer clown named Art; as a result of the confrontation with him, she's severely disfigured and goes insane. She also appears as a cameo in Scream 2 (2022) and as the antagonist in Scream 3 (2024)
I think fans of the Art franchise and genuine horror movies will definitely be into this third installment. I'm so over the countless horror movies that are basically the same - you know, some family moves into a remote house and evil starts manifesting or a poltergeist or a demonic entity shows up. Those kinds of movies are a dime a dozen. But Art movies are completely different from the rest.
Before you go see this movie, I read the reviews when it first came out last week. A lot of people were upset that it's scary and violent. I'm curious, what did people expect from a horror movie that's rated 18+?
If you haven't seen the previous Art movies, I'd advise you to think twice before watching this one, especially if you're not prepared for some really graphic and realistic scenes. They're not for the faint of heart.
But if you have seen the previous movies, I highly recommend this one just to finally find out where this clown came from.
I've got to admit, the one thing that really bugged me about this franchise is that now that I know the origin of this clown, I'm not sure I'll be watching the next ones. I've already heard they're making a fourth one, and I'm worried it'll be even more brutal, which my fragile psyche can't handle. The creator's twisted imagination is already giving me nightmares.
My only real complaint about Unsane 3 is that while it answers the main question about where this clown came from, the plot is riddled with holes that raise even more questions. Like, why did Art show up on Halloween before, but now he's showing up on Christmas? It just doesn't add up.
Another thing that really annoyed me is the unresolved ending. It's like they just stopped mid-sentence and expected me to just fill in the blanks.

A review of the year's most disappointing remake of a classic Soviet comedy. The movie's attempt at humor falls flat, and the plot is confusing and hard to follow.
