I'm still basking in the glow of my amazing week-long stay at the Sunrise Remal Resort 4* in Ras Nasrani Bay, Sharm El Sheikh, and I'm excited to share my review with you while the memories are still fresh!

I think I understood that our hotel is located a bit far from the city center – essentially, there's nothing but hotels in our area. That's both a plus and a minus. If you want to party in Sharm at night, you'll need to take a taxi, as walking would be around 1-2 kilometers, but imagine the view – a desert and a mountain of trash!
This was my first time in Sharm El Sheikh, and we didn't really leave the hotel grounds, as we were exhausted from the day's activities. We didn't have the energy to go out and explore the city at night. Instead, we'd head to the local shows in the amphitheater and discos in the evening – it was all amazing!
Our Room
We were given a standard room with a view of the mountains (and the trash mountain, haha!), which was quite spacious. The room had three separate beds, although I was expecting a double bed, and we had a note in the voucher saying we were newlyweds – but no luck!
We were offered to push two beds together, but honestly, that's exactly what we had planned to do, and it ended up feeling like one massive king-size bed
The balcony is really cool, it overlooks the internal green courtyard and the stunning mountains. Every day, I'd watch breathtaking sunsets with a cup of coffee.
The room has everything you need: a mini-bar, a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, a mosquito repellent (!), a sewing kit, a shower cap, a hair dryer, shampoos and conditioners, a shoe sponge, and a few other useful little things that I'm probably forgetting.
I was pleasantly surprised by the mini-bar's first fill-up, which was free. After that, it's pay-per-use. The daily water refill is a nice touch, and it's replenished every day. However, the cleaning schedule can be a bit of a nuisance, but you can opt out by hanging a 'do not disturb' sign. We left a $1 tip each time, and when we returned, we were greeted with this lovely surprise:
The bathroom is spacious, and the fixtures, although not new, are well-maintained. There's always an ample supply of toilet paper, and it's replenished daily. Towels, robes, and other essentials are provided upon request. The toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, are all available.
Hotel Grounds
This hotel is small, but it's got a great green vibe going on. You can tell the staff is really making an effort to make sure everyone's happy and having a good time.
The grounds have two pools: a tiny kids' one that's not super popular, and a bigger one with water slides and a bar. The bar's open till 6 PM, so you can grab a cocktail and enjoy it by the pool without having to leave. They've got all sorts of activities going on, from water aerobics to yoga and more.

I've gotta say, the food at this resort is hands-down the best I've had in Egypt. Every dish I tried was delicious, and I'm a big fan of the seafood - the fish is cooked to perfection.
Each day, I knew exactly what to expect from the menu: a meat day, a fish day, a seafood day, a pasta day, and so on. I loved the predictability, and I was always looking forward to seeing what they'd serve up.
For breakfast, I usually opted for waffles, croissants, scrambled eggs, and falafel. The falafel was a game-changer - I'm now obsessed with making it at home.
My go-to options for lunch and dinner were:
I was trying to catch some fish as a side dish, and load up on veggies and greens – and we got plenty of those. The grilled veggies and fries were a hit. The fries were absolutely insane!
The shrimp – wow! They were so tasty, juicy, huge, and in unlimited supply. My husband and I took three servings between us, had a couple of beers, and devoured them like champions.
I mean, just look at the mango steaks they used to give us! It was like a real treat. Another time, they were just handing out whole mangoes to everyone!
And then there's the dessert selection - something for every taste and preference. From cakes to pastries, to suflés, but I was blown away by the Egyptian desserts made with Kataifi dough. I was so tempted to devour them all on my own, but they were being devoured so quickly, it seemed like an impossible task.
Food
The Beach and the Sea
It's about a 10-minute walk to the beach at a leisurely pace. The path is beautiful, green, and runs through the Sunrise Remal Beach hotel, which is part of our network, with a 5-star rating. The hotel is modern, sleek, and was built in 2024.
I was surprised by the bar and snack bar - they're always packed, but we never managed to get in.
The beach is beautiful, with plenty of sunbeds available, even in the busiest hours. We loved setting up near the pier, so we could easily walk back and forth. Most of the time, we swam, and I tried to relax in the sun, but with such a rich reef nearby, it's a crime to stay in one place!
I'm a terrible swimmer, and I have a panic attack whenever water gets up my nose and mouth. I bought a paddleboard, and at first, I swam with it.
This is way better for me than a wetsuit or a dry suit, because snorkeling with a board is the closest thing to real swimming, and everything else is just a watered-down imitation. You won't learn how to swim in a wetsuit.
I progressed with each passing day, and then I decided to try swimming with a mask. At first, it was weird because breathing through a mask is a bit of a challenge, but as soon as my eyes adjusted to the underwater world, I completely forgot about everything else.
There's so much beauty hidden beneath the surface! I saw lots of fish, but what really caught my eye were the rare finds: a huge surgeonfish, a pufferfish, a butterflyfish with a menacing look (one of the most venomous and deadly), a not-so-harmless stingray, and a massive blue fish the size of me, swimming at the bottom. My eyes had never seen anything like it. Every day, I go to the sea like it's a treasure hunt - who will I see today? By the way, our reef is so popular that they even bring people on excursions here.
For those who can't swim, there's an option to explore the shoreline and observe the coral. The rocks are sharp, so I recommend getting some coral shoes - without them, it's impossible to walk along the reef, and it also provides extra protection from bites and unexpected attacks.
The real showstopper here is the coral reef. It's absolutely stunning and teeming with marine life, drawing visitors from all over Sharm to see it. The water is crystal-clear right by the shore, a beautiful turquoise color near the reef, and a deep blue at its depths.
