Prima Pattaya: A Guide's Worst Nightmare

summarizeEditor's Summary

Don't trust the Prima Pattaya hotel's guides. They'll lead you on a wild goose chase, wasting your time and money.

Guide NameYan
Hotel NamePrima Pattaya
Airport NameU-Tapao
Date of StayEarly March
I just got back from a disastrous trip to Pattaya, and I'm still trying to process the sheer audacity of our guide, Yan. She seemed to have one goal: to drain our wallets with as many overpriced excursions as humanly possible. But the cherry on top was when she lied to us about the U-Tapao duty-free being closed. I mean, I double-checked with her to confirm, and she just smiled and said it was closed. Little did we know, it was still open on the second floor! We wasted precious time traveling to King Power, which is a total hassle. The kicker? When we finally arrived at the airport, we found out that the duty-free was open the whole time. I'm still fuming about the whole experience. It's just appalling, and I'm not even mad – I'm just disappointed. Disappointed that our guide would intentionally screw us over like that.

Absolutely not. They seemed more interested in making a quick buck than providing a good experience.

Would I recommend this hotel?

Heck no. Avoid it like the plague.

What about the in-flight meal?

It was a disaster. Don't even get me started on it.

Why I'd Never Book with Karela Tour and Enjoy Rafting Again

Avoid booking with Karela Tour at all costs. Our experience was a total disaster, from the forced sales to the aggressive staff behavior.
