I'm really disappointed with my recent experience with Platki online store. I saw all these great reviews and beautiful scarves, so I thought I'd give it a try.

As a busy mom, I don't have time to browse stores, so I decided to shop online. I chose Platki because they have a huge selection of scarves, shawls, and shales, and the prices are lower than most competitors.

The interface is super intuitive, so I won't clutter this review with screenshots.

I chose to have my order shipped via Russian Post and paid with a cash-on-delivery option. Shipping is free, but the post office takes a commission - I paid around 160-170 rubles in taxes on top of the 2130 ruble order.

The order was processed super quickly, and I got a tracking number the next day. They also sent me all the delivery reports via email.

My package arrived in 8-9 days. When I opened it, I was thrilled to see this beautiful, fluffy 'package' wrapped in lovely paper with the Pavlopasadska Manufactory logo! The paper was intact on all sides, and I was relieved that my order arrived safely...

Under the paper, my order was wrapped in a torn plastic bag - that already raised some concerns... was the item damaged or something?

Here's what I got: a lovely shawl for my dad, 'Огонь' (1100 rubles), and a gorgeous, colorful shawl for me, 'Золушка' (1030 rubles). Each scarf has the maker's name in the description.

I've gotta say, the scarf and the headband are super thin and lightweight, considering they're made of 100% wool. The scarf on my head would only be wearable in the fall or spring, or under a really warm hat. Since I only wear scarves around my neck, the thickness was actually just fine for me.

The fabric is smooth and feels nice to the touch, it's thin. The edges are well-made, I don't see any fraying or loose threads. The print is also high-quality, it's printed clearly, and from the inside, it's a bit lighter and less clear, but you can barely notice the difference.

I was really excited to try out the new addition!

But, the moment I put on my scarf, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment... There's a hole right in the middle! And it's clear that it's been worn out...

If the hole was on a colored background, I wouldn't have even bothered. But it's on a plain black background, right at the fold, and it's really noticeable!

I'm curious, how do they check the products before shipping? Or do they not check at all? Did they notice the defect, but still send it out, hoping it would wear out eventually?

It's really frustrating and annoying. Especially since the packaging and the paper were all intact, so it must have been like that on the shelf.

Of course, I wrote to the email address listed on the website. They replied, asking me to send the scarf back and they'll refund my money. Here's what's written on the website:

But where's the confidence that the inspection will be fair and I won't be left without the scarf and my money?

Just in case, I asked about a discount on the defective product. Of course, they refused. I understand, but still... they could've been more accommodating.

I haven't sent the scarf back yet, because I don't have anyone to leave my kid with, and I'm not about to stand around on the post office line for an hour with them. Plus, it's freezing outside, and in the post office, it's sweltering, and I'm worried about my kid's health. And, of course, it's just my problem.

I can still wear the scarf (folded and around my neck), but every time, I'll be worried that someone will see the hole. I won't be able to wear it on my head with the hole on my forehead, and I'm not into wearing ripped jeans either.

It may seem like a small thing, but it's ruined my mood, and I feel like I've been ripped off.

So, I wouldn't recommend the Platki online store!

I'm only giving it 3 stars for the headband, which, at least, isn't torn.
