Hello everyone! I'm excited to share my experience with the PAX wardrobe from IKEA. I ordered it back in the summer, but it took a while to get all the components in stock. I wish I'd had it sooner!
The nearest IKEA store is about 88 kilometers from my home, so it was easier to order online. I chose IKEA because I couldn't find better wardrobes from PAX, and I looked for a long time.
I love PAX wardrobes for their simplicity, visual ease, and the ability to customize them at a reasonable price. The planner on the IKEA website was pretty straightforward. I constantly checked the availability of shelves, drawers, and brackets, so it only took me a minute to assemble the wardrobe in the planner. I'd click, add to cart, and check if everything was there. Yay! The shelves arrived, but the brackets were missing. Oh well, at least the shelves were in stock! So, I placed the order without the brackets or shelves.
The order confirmation arrived via email, with the delivery date listed. I think they even called me before delivery to confirm that someone would be home. I chose doorstep delivery, which cost almost 5,000 rubles.
Delivery was a bit of an adventure. On the scheduled delivery day, a truck arrived at my doorstep, and two men got out. They checked to make sure I was the one who ordered it, and then handed me the papers. One of them asked which floor I lived on, and I said the fourth floor. He jokingly suggested leaving the boxes at the entrance, but they did manage to carry the boxes to my doorstep, just like the delivery note said. Although, they did ask how much I paid for delivery, which left a bit of a sour taste.

We'd had some experience with assembling furniture before, so we didn't rush it. We followed the instructions and took our time. We started by assembling the first frame, then attached it to the wall and added the shelves. If you follow the instructions, it's actually pretty simple and straightforward. They even provide a recommended ceiling height, which was a relief since we'd recently installed a drop ceiling. I was worried that the wardrobe would hit the ceiling and potentially damage it, but the instructions assured us that our ceiling height was suitable – and it was, with even some extra clearance!

The handles are a sore subject – my husband is afraid to drill into the door, afraid of damaging the finish. But I've gotten used to opening the doors without handles, and we're living like that.
By the way, about the rods – I found a solution on Wildberries. I hesitated for a long time, but I finally ordered wooden rods in a set of 2. They came with plastic holders in white. I sanded the rods to fit the carcass's size. They fit perfectly, and I secured the holders with screws.
