I decided to write this review because I was having trouble finding info on business lounges at Yekaterinburg Airport online.
The Opal lounge is one of the few options at Koltsovo Airport, and it's a decent choice if you're looking for a quick bite and some relaxation before your flight.
The lounge is tucked away near gate 14 in Terminal A, but it's a bit of a challenge to find - the navigation signs are pretty scarce.
It's a small lounge, but it's really cozy and green. There are plenty of plants and living walls between the tables, and it's surprisingly quiet for an airport waiting area.
We were lucky to snag a spot, as the lounge was almost full since we were flying out early and there were a bunch of flights departing at that time. We ended up sitting near the exit. The breakfast options were great - there were salads, Korean-style carrots, Korean-style cabbage, rice with veggies, sausages, pancakes, omelets, fried potatoes, oatmeal, and burgers. They also had three types of juice, tea, and coffee from a machine.
The food was really tasty - even my picky kid ate sausages with omelets, and I had tea with some desserts. The desserts were just okay, I guess.
There were some simple but tasty treats like oatmeal cookies, wafers, marshmallows, and candies. I also tried a cup of cappuccino, which was pretty good. The only downside was the kettle - it had a thick layer of scale, which looked really gross.
We spent about 40 minutes there and then headed to our gate. You can stay for up to 3 hours if you want. The best part is that the lounge is small, so you don't have to deal with crowds like in Moscow airport lounges. However, it might be a problem if there aren't enough seats. There aren't any sleeping pods or showers, but there are toilets and sinks where you can freshen up.
I hope my review helps you make an informed decision. Thanks for reading, and have a great flight!
