The deal-breaker was the promotion they had on family suites by the pool for the standard price. The puzzle pieces fell into place - I made my decision. How Was the Transfer?

This is the first no-brainer of this chain. The transfer is almost individual. You don't have to wait for a full bus to gather and then get dropped off at your hotel. They've got a tiny, comfy minivan with AC and nice seats. We got in the car pretty quickly, waited for another girl (she was heading to another hotel), and then we were off. The ride took less than an hour. On the way back, it was the same - they picked us up and took us straight to the airport.

What Was Check-in Like?

We arrived early, at 9 am, and were already at the hotel. We didn't get settled right away; they told us there were no free rooms (classic Turkish hotel move). They offered us breakfast, which we took, and then we just lounged on the couches in the lobby because we didn't have the energy to go out or hit the beach. They gave us our room around 12 pm. The room location was perfect - it's the closest one to the sea, the main restaurant, and the beach in our category. We had room 5109 on the first floor of a two-story bungalow.

What Did We Think of the Room?

This is where things didn't quite click. The hotel's been around since 2014, and the last renovation was in 2023, but it looks like they skipped over the interior of our room category. The furniture and decor are pretty old. The room's dark and gloomy, even with the curtains open. Everything works, but the room itself looks pretty basic. The Lagoon Family Suites have two rooms, with a bathroom in between them. Here's the deal with this 'open space'. There's no door to the bathroom, period. It's just not there. You've got room doors that don't close with latches and don't block out the noise, but hey, at least they're there.

Bathroom entranceThe doors to the shower and toilet don't close either. If you're traveling with a big family, you're basically out of luck. You won't have any personal space. It's hard to find some peace, let alone hide from everyone.

On the other hand, the cozy area with a big table is a nice touch. It's super convenient to work there, especially with a cool cocktail and some bird songs in the background.
