A Weekend of Thrills at Moscow's Largest Go-Karting Center - X-TI Pilot Karting Takes the Lead

summarizeEditor's Summary

I just got back from an epic weekend at Moscow's largest go-karting center, X-TI Pilot Karting, and I'm still buzzing from the experience. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique gift idea - it's all about the thrill and excitement. The location is super convenient, especially for Moscow region residents like me. We spent an amazing weekend trying out their electric and gas-powered karts, and I gotta say, the difference is noticeable. The build quality of the karts and the track itself impressed me, and the customer support was top-notch. If you're a thrill-seeker like me, you'll love the racing experience here. It's worth every penny for the adrenaline rush alone. I was a bit worried about the prices, but trust me, it's a value for money. The staff could be a bit more welcoming and helpful, especially for first-time visitors, but overall, I had an amazing time.

We spent an amazing weekend at Moscow's largest go-karting center, and I'm still buzzing from the experience.
This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique gift idea - it's all about the thrill and excitement!
Before trying out the X-TI Pilot karting, we'd only ever driven electric karts - it was great to experience the difference.
Location:
The go-karting center is located in Moscow, but on the outskirts, near the MKAD, in the Medvedkovo area. As a resident of the Moscow region, I found it super convenient to get to.
Parking:
If you're driving, there's a designated parking lot for customers.
Booking your session:
You'll need to book your session in advance on their website - it's best to do this a few days in advance.
We booked two sessions with a 30-minute gap between them.
I'd say one session per day is enough to get your adrenaline fix and enjoy the thrill of go-karting.
Registration process:
After booking, when you arrive, you'll need to register for your session 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
There's no strict time control, but after registration, you'll need to:
Put on your gearGo through the safety briefingThe instructor will help you with your helmetOnly then can you head out onto the track and get in your kartThe karts are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, until everyone has completed the safety briefing.
The session won't start until everyone is in their kart and strapped in.
The instructors work quickly, so we didn't feel like we were waiting around.
The session:
The track is a good kilometer long.
I was a bit worried about the track layout, but it's actually pretty cool. The turns are tight, but there are also some straight sections where you can really open up.
The track is designed to mimic a real asphalt road, with some bumps and uneven sections to keep things interesting.
Handling:
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to control the kart. The gas and brake pedals are on the right and left sides, respectively, and it's all pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it.
The gas pedal is a bit sensitive, so you need to be careful not to overdo it. But overall, the kart is pretty well-behaved.
One thing to note is that the kart's behavior can vary depending on the specific kart you're using. I had a really nice kart on my first lap, but on my second lap, the kart was a bit more finicky and required a bit more finesse to control.
Safety:
I was a bit worried about safety, especially since there are a lot of karts on the track at the same time. But in reality, everyone was pretty considerate of each other and we all had a great time.
The track is wide enough that you can easily pass other karts without causing any problems. And the staff are always on hand to make sure everyone is following the rules and having a good time.
The staff are always on hand to make sure everyone is following the rules and having a good time. They use flags to indicate when you need to slow down or stop, and they're always happy to help out if you need it.One thing that's worth noting is that the karts don't have reverse gear, so if you spin out, the staff will come and help you get back on track. And to make sure everyone stays safe, they'll also put up a flag to warn other karts to slow down.
It's also worth noting that they allow adults to drive with kids on the two-seater kart, which is a great way to get the whole family involved.
Changing Room:
The changing room is located on the second floor and has a toilet and some lockers where you can store your personal belongings.
The lockers are password-protected, so you can feel safe leaving your stuff there while you're on the track.
And when you're done racing, the staff will come and help you change back into your regular clothes.
Costume:
They provide a costume that fits you perfectly, and it's actually pretty cool to wear. It makes you feel like a real Formula 1 driver!
I always wear a costume when I'm karting because I don't want to end up smelling like gasoline. The costume protects my clothes from the smell of gasoline, sand, and dust.
Comparing with electric karts:
I've tried both electric and gasoline karts, and I have to say, they're both a blast. However, there are some key differences that I want to highlight.
Pros of electric karts:
1. Electric karts have reverse gear and a speed boost button.
It's super helpful when you spin out - you can recover on your own.
With gasoline karts, you have to wait for someone to come and help you.
2. The seats on electric karts are way more comfortable.
The plastic seat on the gasoline kart was a bit too stiff for me, and I ended up with a bruise on my back. Not a big deal, but I should've buckled up tighter to avoid it.
3. The track surface for electric karts is smooth.
The asphalt track for gasoline karts has some bumps and uneven spots - I'm not sure if that's just the way it's supposed to be or if it's time for a new surface.
4. As for power, I didn't notice a huge difference between the two - the gasoline kart has 12 horsepower, while the electric one has 15. However, the electric kart accelerates way faster.
Pros of gasoline karts:
1. The track for gasoline karts is twice as long.
2. It's an outdoor track, and it's a real thrill to drive on a nice day.
Apparently, it's also fun to drive on in the winter, when the track is icy and snowy.
3. Electric karting is way more expensive than gasoline karting.
At the time of writing, a single ride on the gasoline kart costs 1500 rubles, while the electric one costs 2500 rubles.
I highly recommend trying out both types of karting!
It's an awesome way to spend time, whether you're an adult or a kid.
I'd highly recommend the X-TI Pilot for karting - it's a rush of emotions, adrenaline, and just a great mood boost! This thing is pure fun!
I love that they offer gift certificates on their website - it's a fantastic idea for when you want to give someone the gift of excitement.
