Gamma Hotel Izmailovo 3*

This 3-star hotel in Moscow's Izmailovo area is a hidden gem. I've stayed here a few times and it's always delivered. The rooms are comfy, the staff is friendly, and the location is unbeatable. You get a solid range of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, and a bar. It's a great value for money, especially considering you're right in the heart of the city. The hotel's central spot makes it easy to explore the city's main attractions, from the Kremlin to Red Square.

Our Moscow Adventure: A Family's Experience at the Izmailovo Hotel Complex

summarizeEditor's Summary

We spent a week at the Izmailovo Hotel Complex in Moscow with our kids, and it was a real mixed bag. The complex is huge, with five buildings, and we chose the Gamma building for its sleek design and proximity to the metro. The room was spacious, but the Wi-Fi was spotty at times. The hotel's location is a major plus, with plenty of nearby attractions like Izmailovo Island. It's a solid choice for families, but be prepared for some quirks.

Hello everyone!
I recently spent a week in Moscow with my kids, and we stayed at the Izmailovo Hotel Complex. This was my first time booking a hotel in Moscow, and I chose the Izmailovo Hotel Complex because of its proximity to the dance competitions we were attending. The complex is huge, with five buildings: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Vega. We decided to book a room in the Gamma building.
We booked our room through Brenton Club, which is an agency I've used before and highly recommend. The process was smooth, and I was able to book a two-bedroom room with an extra bed for my older kid. The room cost around 4,000 rubles per night, plus an extra 1,000 rubles for the third person. I also opted for early check-in, which was a great perk.
The Gamma building is a sleek, white structure that stands out among its neighbors. It's located just a couple of minutes from the metro, which is a huge plus, especially if you're traveling with kids. The area around the building has been nicely landscaped, with flowerbeds and little fountains. There are plenty of places to go nearby, including Izmailovo Island.
The lobby of the hotel is impressive, with its transparent glass and greenery. We enjoyed taking a stroll around the area and even took a few photos. The hotel has plenty of elevators, some of which go up to the 17th floor. Our room was located on the 15th floor, and the elevators were conveniently located to the left of the reception.
The room itself was impressive. It had a spacious living area with huge windows, a massive bed with bedside tables, and a small table with a built-in fridge and a TV on top. The view from the window was impressive, even considering our building wasn't low-rise. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bedding and pillows were soft and airy. We slept like babies and had plenty of room for the three of us without needing an extra bed.
Cleaning the rooms was done daily while we were away, and we weren't disturbed at all. They do a great job, even folding the towels neatly. The only thing that didn't impress me was that they threw away our soap on the second day. We didn't need it daily, and there's no rule saying they have to bring it every day.
There are a few shops on the first floor selling souvenirs, and the prices are reasonable. I was surprised, though - the same items were way more expensive at the Izmailovo Kremlin. Right across from the hotel is a restaurant/bar where you can grab a bite. It looks nice and cozy, and the location is definitely a plus.
I really enjoyed living in the Gamma building. If you need to be in Moscow and this area, I'd definitely recommend it! Although, I wouldn't necessarily choose it for a repeat visit. The Izmailovo metro is conveniently located, so getting around won't be a problem. The service, rooms, and building itself are top-notch. I left with a really positive impression, one that makes me want to go back!

Thanks for making it to the end! I know I went on a bit, but I tried to keep it concise.
Wishing you a great day and warm regards,
Lena.
