Hello everyone!
This fall, some enterprising folks in my apartment complex decided to plant some Christmas trees on our shared property.
We bought the saplings from a local nursery, and they came with little tags on the branches:
Glauca Frasier FirThe trees look healthy: their needles are a rich green color, and all the branches are straight and well-formed.We planted them in the fall to give them a head start:
Now it's December, and we're having a weird winter with no snow, but plenty of temperature swings. From what I can see, the trees are doing okay, despite the occasional strong gusts and drafts.
We've been making sure they're good and snug:
And just recently, we had a pretty intense snowstorm (22-25 mph winds), but the little trees are still standing strong!
I'll be back with an update in the spring.
These little trees have been through a lot, but they're still looking healthy and vibrant, with no signs of damage from the strong winds or cold snaps.
As I write this, they're still going strong, and I'm curious to see how they'll do when the weather warms up.
