I Fell for the CC Cream Erborian Red, But It Took Some Time. Here's How It Covers Up Redness and Rosacea, and Who It's Suitable For.

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been using the Erborian CC Cream Red for a while now, and it's genuinely transformed my skincare routine. This CC cream is a total game changer for rosacea-prone skin like mine. It provides amazing coverage that really helps to reduce the appearance of redness and rosacea. Plus, it's got a lovely, powdery-perfumey scent that I just can't get enough of. The texture is thick and creamy, which might take some getting used to if you're used to lighter Asian skincare products, but it works amazingly well. I've been using it for a week now, and I'm already hooked. It's definitely worth the investment, even if it's a bit pricey.

My Experience with the Erborian CC Cream Red
Hello everyone! I've already reviewed the Erborian BB cream, which came with this CC cream from the same brand. Today, I'm going to talk about the CC cream.
I bought the set of two products for 3,500 rubles, which includes two mini versions of the products. The price of the individual mini CC cream is 1,880 rubles, and the full-sized product (40 ml) costs 4,190 rubles.
The packaging is pretty standard. The product comes in a single box, and the sunscreen itself is in a small plastic tube with a long nozzle and a screw-on cap. It's nothing too fancy, but it's pretty easy to use.
The CC cream has a really pleasant, powdery-perfumey aroma that lingers on the skin after use. The consistency of this CC cream is pretty thick, and I have to admit, it's not what I'm used to in Asian skincare. In my experience, all BB and CC creams are usually liquidy and blend easily into the skin.
However, the fact remains, this product has a pretty thick texture and doesn't blend into the skin as easily. You really need to work it in with a good rub. The color of this CC cream is pretty unique - it's green, but that's actually the main selling point.
Even on a swatch, I had to work it in pretty well to get it to change color and blend into my skin. And here's the thing: this CC cream doesn't absorb into the skin at all. It just sits on top like a regular foundation. Plus, it's already pretty obvious on my hand that if I have any skin texture issues, this CC cream will accentuate them.
According to the manufacturer, this is how you're supposed to use the CC cream:
Apply after cleansing and toning, before sunscreen or moisturizer.Distribute a small amount (a grain) across your face, including the area around your eyes, with gentle patting motions. You can mix it with your regular skincare routine.Use it once a day in the morning. No rinsing required. Compatible with most skincare products, but not recommended to use with retinol and acids at the same time.I apply the CC cream to my skin after it's been cleansed and moisturized with a lightweight lotion. On my face, it's a bit tricky to apply evenly, so one grain just won't cut it. But it blends in seamlessly with my skin tone.
I should note that my skin's more olive-toned and yellowish, rather than pale, so fair-skinned girls should be careful. The cream does accentuate skin texture, but I don't have any flakiness right now. The finish is satin-like, with a subtle sheen that doesn't leave my skin looking greasy.
The effect lasts several hours, depending on the temperature and humidity. As the day goes on, the coverage starts to get shinier and more uneven. A light dusting can help keep it looking smoother.
I also appreciate that the CC cream doesn't clog my pores and does a great job of evening out my skin tone. As you can see from the photos, it covers up redness nicely. There's a noticeable moisturizing effect, but it only lasts until the cream is washed off.
I remove it from my skin using micellar water and a gentle cleanser. It hasn't caused any breakouts during my use. Since this product has a decorative cosmetic effect, I wouldn't follow the manufacturer's advice to not rinse it off. It's better to err on the side of caution and avoid clogged pores.
CC cream applies smoothly where you need it. It's best to apply it with your fingers, as it doesn't play nicely with brushes and sponges. Those tools will soak up too much product, making it a waste. Applying it with brushes and sponges also doesn't spread evenly.
At first, I took some time to get used to its thick texture, but overall, I really like how it feels on my skin. I think it's perfect for girls with normal and combination skin, as it might accentuate dry patches on dry skin or get too shiny on oily skin without additional products.
The product has an economical amount, and I managed to use up this small tub in a year, but only because I don't use toners every day and I've been alternating it with other products.
I think this product is worth trying if you're looking for a gentle, everyday toner.
In my profile, I review cosmetics, products for kids, travel gear, and other items, so feel free to check me out there.
Thanks for reading!
