This CC Cream from Erborian is a total game-changer for uneven skin tone. It's a correcting tint that helps even out your complexion and gives you a natural-looking finish. My Honest Take on the Erborian CC Cream Red Correct

summarizeEditor's Summary

I recently picked up the Erborian CC Cream Red Correct, and I'm still trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. This product has been flying off the shelves for ages, but I'm not entirely convinced it's worth the hype. I was curious to see how it compares to my trusty Erborian BB Cream 5-en-1, which I've been using since 2022. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. The CC cream's packaging is pretty standard, but the formula's pretty straightforward - centella, vitamin E, and glycerin. I'm not a fan of the CC cream's moisturizing properties from Erborian - it's just okay, but not amazing. I've been using it for a week now, and I still can't tell if it's doing anything special. The CC cream does a decent job of correcting tone and eliminating redness, but it's not a miracle worker. It's a good option for daily use, especially for those with sensitive skin, but it's not a game-changer. The price is reasonable, considering the amount of product you get, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hype.

Hey there, beauty enthusiasts!
I recently picked up the Erborian CC Cream Red Correct, and I'm still trying to figure out what all the fuss is about.
This product has been flying off the shelves for ages, but I'm not entirely convinced it's worth the hype.
As someone who's been loyal to the Erborian BB Cream 5-en-1 since 2022, I was curious to see how the CC cream would compare.
Let's just say I was a bit disappointed.
PACKAGING.
The packaging is pretty standard - a small cardboard box with a mini format 15 ml of product inside.
It's not exactly exciting, but it gets the job done.
INGREDIENTS.
The key ingredients in this CC cream are Tiger's Grass Extract (Centella Asiatica), which soothes and improves skin elasticity, and Green 'CC-pigments', which corrects tone and eliminates redness.
There's also Vitamin E and Glycerin to hydrate the skin.
I have to say, the formula's pretty straightforward - centella, vitamin E, and glycerin.
I don't buy into the CC cream's moisturizing properties from Erborian.
For me, it's a toner first and foremost.
Packaging of the cream is super convenient, small, and the product comes out easily through the small nozzle and gets perfectly dosed.
COLOR, SCENT, TEXTURE.
The scent is pretty unremarkable, just like the formula.
It smells like an improved version of 'ballerina'. I can pick up some herbal notes.
As for texture , Red Correct is way lighter than Bilibi.
The latter is more gel-like, dense, and bouncy, while the CC cream is more like a cream in terms of consistency.
The shade of the CC cream is just one - a light mauve with green pigment speckles.
When applied, the product works with the skin, evening out the tone and adapting to your unique skin color.
I've gotta say, I'm really loving the finish on this product - it's super natural-looking.
Right out of the box, and even after 5-7 minutes, it looks just like my own skin.
Real-World Testing
I've got combination skin, with a 30-year-old complexion that's still prone to breakouts.
I've also got a habit of picking at my face, which can be super frustrating when you're trying to take care of your skin.
I've tried all sorts of high-end skincare products, and even done some photo-rejuvenation treatments, but I still manage to get those pesky blackheads - and they can totally undo all the good work I've done.
But, in my experience, the Red Correct hasn't clogged my pores or caused any breakouts.
That being said, I probably won't be buying this again because
It looks super natural, but it's only suitable for good skin;Acne spots need to be covered with a concealer, as it doesn't cover them well;My previous BB cream concealed imperfections on a scale of five, and yes, it blended perfectly in the right places.I could've taken it with me on the go;Red Correct doesn't cover redness any better than my BB cream, and;Yes, CC cream is lighter, but it's not better applied, it spreads just like my BB cream;Red Correct has SPF 25, so it needs to be removed with a hydrophilic oil, just like a thick BB cream;I thought I could apply CC cream like a moisturizer in big strokes, but nope.THE VERDICT.
I'm not gonna lie, I didn't find any reason to use the Red Correct on its own.
I'm only finishing the tube because I don't want to waste my money.
To be honest, I liked it less than the BB.
I think both feel the same on my skin, they're both easily washed off with a hydrating wipe, and therefore, why sacrifice the level of skin tone if the effort to apply and remove is the same?
I won't be repurchasing, but that doesn't mean the CC cream is bad - it just didn't work for me as well as the BB.
I'd give the Red Correct a 5 for its ability to even out my skin tone, correct redness, easy packaging, and non-comedogenic properties.

live_helpFeatured FAQ

Is the Erborian CC Cream Red Correct good for sensitive skin?

Yes, the CC cream is formulated with natural ingredients that are gentle on sensitive skin. However, as with any new product, do a patch test before using it on your face to ensure you don't have any adverse reactions.

How long does the CC cream last on the skin?

The CC cream provides a decent amount of coverage that lasts for around 4-6 hours, depending on your skin type and activities.

Can I use the CC cream as a moisturizer?

While the CC cream does contain moisturizing ingredients, I don't think it's enough to provide long-lasting hydration. Use it as a toner and follow up with a separate moisturizer for best results.

Is the CC cream suitable for oily skin?

Yes, the CC cream is a good option for oily skin, as it won't clog pores or exacerbate oiliness. However, be sure to choose a suitable shade to avoid looking too shiny.

Can I use the CC cream under makeup?

Yes, the CC cream provides a smooth canvas for makeup application. Apply it after toning and before your foundation for a flawless finish.

Is the CC cream cruelty-free?

Yes, Erborian is a cruelty-free brand that doesn't test on animals. You can feel good about using their products, knowing they're gentle on your skin and the environment.

What's the difference between the CC cream and the BB cream?

The CC cream is a more intense version of the BB cream, providing better coverage and a smoother finish. The BB cream is a lighter, more moisturizing option that's great for everyday use.

Can I return or exchange the CC cream if I'm not satisfied?

Yes, Erborian has a return and exchange policy in place. If you're not satisfied with the product, contact their customer support team to initiate the return or exchange process.
