PepsiCo Drive Me Berry Kick Energy Drink

I'm a big fan of energy drinks, and PepsiCo's Drive Me Berry Kick is a solid choice when you need a quick pick-me-up. The berry flavor is actually really good - it's not too sweet or overpowering, and it's perfect for any time of day. Whether you're hitting the gym, studying for a test, or just need a mid-afternoon boost, this energy drink delivers.

Clubhouse Energy Drink Falls Short of Expectations

summarizeEditor's Summary

I picked up a can of the Clubhouse Drive Me energy drink in Strawberry-Blueberry flavor, but what I got was a rebranded product with a new design that looks better, but still has a taste that's way too sweet and lacks a distinct blueberry flavor. The energy boost is decent, but it wears off quickly, leaving me feeling thirsty all the time. With a price of 99 rubles and limited availability, I'd say it's not worth the hype. I'm still looking for a decent energy drink that won't break the bank or leave me feeling thirsty all the time.

I picked up a can of the Clubhouse Drive Me energy drink in Strawberry-Blueberry flavor from a store called Holiday, and I thought it was a brand new product. But when I started writing this review, I found out it's just a rebranding – what they're calling 'Strawberry-Blueberry' now was previously just the 'Red Drive'.
Well, whatever. Let's take a closer look at this drink.
Availability
I only saw the 'Strawberry-Blueberry' flavor at the Holiday store, and they haven't started stocking it elsewhere yet. It costs 99 rubles.
The New Design
The design looks better than before, at least. You can immediately tell what flavor they're going for now.
The QR code is right there, but it's not exactly in the most convenient spot.
They've still got the bonus info on the label.
FlavorI've got to say, the drink looks pretty nice on its own.
But the flavor itself is a different story.
The strawberry flavor is definitely there – and that's a good thing. There's a lot of it in the flavor, not just the ingredients. But the blueberry flavor? I didn't pick up on it at all. I could've just called this 'Strawberry' and been done with it, why add the blueberry to the name?
And then, after drinking about 1/3 of the can, you really notice how sweet this drink is. It's almost not sour at all, and I'm not a fan of that. The artificial sweeteners really make it feel overly sweet. It's a shame, because the strawberry flavor is pretty aromatic... but that sweetness just kills it.
I'd say the taste is pretty unimpressive. But, you know, it's not terrible either. The fizz is normal, and it's drinkable, but the sweetness will have you reaching for a glass of water afterwards.
Ingredients
Sugar, acidity regulators (citric acid, sodium citrate 3-substituted, malic acid), flavor enhancers, pectin stabilizer, taurine, sweeteners (acesulfame potassium, sucralose), caffeine, preservatives (sorbic acid, sodium benzoate). Red charming AS, inositol, niacin, vitamins (B6, B12), antioxidant, ascorbic acid.
This drink's got artificial coloring and a mix of sugar and sweeteners – that's not exactly great for your health. The lack of natural juices and the presence of artificial sweeteners are definite downsides. There's no actual active ingredients besides caffeine, taurine, and vitamins (they could've added ginseng, for example). It's a bit questionable.
Verdict
It's not a bad energy drink, but it's not great either. It's a bit pricier than I'd like. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy this one again, but if you're a fan of strawberry flavor, this might be the only energy drink on the market with that taste.
