I still can't believe I decided to give Amisonil a try. My house has turned into a jungle, and I have a ton of flowers that need good soil, regular care, and decent fertilizers. Usually, I stick with Agrikola or HB-101, and everything's golden: leaves stay green, new shoots pop up, and growth is steady.
But then I started reading rave reviews from bloggers and gardeners about Amisonil. They raved about its natural ingredients, incredible effectiveness, and super-fast plant growth. I was sold, so I gave it a shot.

Packaging and Convenience
I ordered Amisonil in a large white plastic bottle for regular use. The bright blue label has a ton of useful information for use and some pretty enticing promises.
The wide mouth opening makes it easy to pour the fertilizer into a cup or use a syringe for precise dosing. No complaints about the packaging.
The Problem with Amisonil
The fertilizer is a dark brown liquid with an appalling smell, akin to rotten eggs. I get that it's organic, and it might have an unpleasant odor, but the stench it releases when used is just something else. Needless to say, I couldn't bring myself to spray it on my leaves due to the overwhelming nausea from the pungent smell.
Preparing the solution is a bit of a pain, but I've learned to live with it. To make it, you need to mix 5ml of amidosil with 1 liter of water until it's fully dissolved. When using it as a root fertilizer, I pour the solution over the soil and the plant, making sure the soil is fully saturated. If you're doing a foliar spray, I use a sprayer to fully saturate the leaves.
I have to admit, I started out by diluting the solution a bit more than recommended - 5ml in 2 liters. But after a month or so, I switched to the full strength as instructed. It's not the most pleasant task, what with the smell and all, but I was willing to tolerate it for the sake of my jungle.
The Results
At first, I didn't see any results, but I stuck to my routine, so I could properly evaluate the effects of using amidosil after three months.
And let me tell you, the results were underwhelming. New leaves started growing faster, which was a plus, but it was the only good thing that happened.
My plants started yellowing - first the lower leaves, which I initially thought was just part of their natural growth cycle, and then it spread to the upper leaves.
My poor spathiphyllum, which had been thriving with perfect green leaves, turned a sad shade of yellow and looked like it was dying.
My beloved monstera deliciosa, which had been growing on a massive totem for months without a single yellow leaf, started turning yellow - one leaf at a time - until it was half its original size. I managed to save it, but barely.
My poor dracaena, which had been thriving for years, suddenly started wilting and died within weeks. The roots weren't rotting, they just seemed to be withering away from the inside. I couldn't save it.
After three months, I decided to cut my losses and remove amidosil from my routine. I repotted all my babies and gradually replaced the soil that had been contaminated with amidosil with fresh soil. And slowly but surely, the yellowing stopped, and my plants started thriving again.
My poor spathiphyllum, which had been struggling, finally started growing new, healthy leaves.
I'm happy to report that the greenery in my garden is now looking way healthier and more vibrant, with no more yellowing leaves or dead roots. It's like my flowers have finally come back to life without Amisil.
My Verdict
Amisil has been a disaster for my flowers: it stinks, sucks the life out of them, and kills anything that's already grown. I'm strongly advising against using this fertilizer - I've chucked the rest of my bottle in the bin.
