A Soy Sauce That Surpassed My Expectations - I'm Hooked on Yamcham's Teriyaki!

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been hooked on Yamcham's Teriyaki soy sauce for months now, and it's become a staple in my kitchen. I love how it elevates my dishes with its rich, deep brown color and all-natural ingredients. Plus, the price point is unbeatable - I've found it at Fix Price for a steal. But what really sets it apart is the flavor. It's got a perfect balance of sweet and savory, making it a total game changer for any meal. I've used it for stir-fries, marinades, and even as a substitute for salt. The ingredients are all natural, except for a safe preservative, which gives me peace of mind. The packaging is simple and easy to use, which I appreciate. However, I wish it came in a larger size, as I often find myself running out too quickly. Overall, Yamcham's Teriyaki soy sauce is a must-have in any kitchen, and I highly recommend it.

I'm thrilled to share my experience with Yamcham's Teriyaki soy sauce, which has become a staple in my kitchen. As a huge fan of soy sauce, I've been experimenting with various brands and types, and I must say that Yamcham's Teriyaki sauce has truly impressed me.
One of the things I love about soy sauce is its versatility. It's an excellent substitute for salt, as it already contains it, and it adds a whole new dimension of flavor to my dishes. I've been trying out different brands and types, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on Yamcham's Teriyaki sauce.
I first discovered Yamcham's Teriyaki sauce last summer, and I was pleasantly surprised by the price - it was just over 40 rubles at My Local Store. However, what really caught my attention was when I saw it later at Fix Price for an even lower price of 25 rubles. Now, I only buy it there.
So, what makes Yamcham's Teriyaki sauce stand out? Firstly, I love the ingredients - it's got pineapple juice and ginger, which are the two key ingredients in teriyaki sauce. The rest of the ingredients are all natural, except for the safe preservative, of course.
The color of the sauce is a deep brown, just like it should be for soy sauce. This was immediately apparent when I bought it. I couldn't find any reasons not to buy it.
Packaging and design are also noteworthy. The sauce comes in a plastic bottle, which I think is one of the reasons it's so affordable - glass bottles are always more expensive. However, for me, the packaging isn't a big deal. The bottle has a screw-top lid, and there was a protective cap on the neck, which made me trust the product and the manufacturer even more.
I was really happy with the label - it's stuck firmly to the bottle and hasn't come loose once.
Volume - 205ml. Calories - 50 per 100g. Color is a deep brown. Consistency is liquid, like water. Smell is rich and spicy, with a hint of ginger. I really like the aroma of this sauce.
Taste. I always try the sauce on its own before adding it to dishes. This Teriyaki Yamcham sauce is quite salty, but sweet thanks to the pineapple juice and spicy due to the ginger. Ginger really takes center stage in this sauce. I like it, but those who aren't a fan of the stuff should take note.
I found the taste of Yamcham to be similar to Sen Soy's Spicy and Teriyaki sauces in glass bottles. I've already written about the Spicy one in my review. Sen Soy also has Teriyaki in vacuum packs, but that one is thick, while the ones in bottles are liquid, just like Yamcham.
So, I don't see the point in overpaying, as Yamcham is currently doing the job for me.
I store it in the fridge. Shelf life is 18 months, with a production date of 13.04.2019, so it's still super fresh. And, going against the common perception, products at Fix Price aren't expired - they always have a healthy shelf life.
What I cook with this sauce. One of the things I love about soy sauce is how versatile it is. It used to be just an addition to sushi or rolls, but now I see people experimenting with it in all sorts of dishes.
I add it to pasta, rice, and even salads. I'm a bit of a lazy cook, so I like to keep things simple. Speaking of salads, I've fallen in love with the combination of soy sauce and iceberg lettuce lately.
But if I'm being completely honest, my favorite way to use soy sauce is in a teriyaki chicken dish. I mean, who doesn't love the sweet and savory flavors of teriyaki chicken? It's actually really easy to make at home, and I like to marinate the chicken for as long as possible to get that deep flavor.
One of my go-to marinades is a combination of soy sauce, sugar, and ginger. It's a game-changer.
I'm a big fan of quick and easy meals, and this teriyaki chicken salad fits the bill. It's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a weekend lunch.
Teriyaki Chicken Salad is one of my favorite dishes to whip up. It's made with:
Chicken (100-150g)EggIceberg lettuceSoy sauce (I use the Yamchun Teriyaki variety)Chopped scallions (optional)This recipe makes one serving, but you can easily double or triple it if you need to feed a crowd.
Here's how I make it:
I boil the egg and chop it up.I marinate the chicken in soy sauce and sugar for at least 30 minutes. You can also do this in a slow cooker or Instant Pot.I grill or pan-fry the chicken until it's cooked through.I assemble the salad by placing the lettuce on a plate, topping it with the chicken, egg, and scallions (if using). This recipe is a cinch to make, and it's packed with protein and flavor. Plus, it's a great way to use up leftover chicken and veggies.
Iceberg lettuce is a great source of nutrients, and it's so versatile. You can use it in salads, smoothies, or even as a crunchy snack on its own.
The Yamchun Teriyaki soy sauce is a game-changer for this salad. It adds a rich, savory flavor that complements the chicken and lettuce perfectly.
I'm a big fan of Yamchun Teriyaki soy sauce - it's tasty, has a great ingredient list, and it's a steal compared to pricier, more well-known brands.
Thanks for reading my review!
