Why I'm Hooked on VOA Driving School in Elets

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've gotta say, I'm loving my experience with VOA Driving School in Elets. I signed up for their driving lessons, and I'm blown away by the quality of instruction and the value for money. The instructors are super knowledgeable, and they make sure you're comfortable behind the wheel. Plus, the shipping - I mean, the logistics of getting the school to pick you up and drop you off - is seamless. I've been to a few driving schools before, but this one's got it all together. Hello everyone!
I'm beyond thrilled to share my experience with VOA driving school in Elets. If you're a parent in our city, you know how tough it can be to find a good driving school. I went through it 14 years ago, and back then, the school I attended was pretty solid. But times have changed, and the instructors just aren't as great as they used to be. So, after doing some research and checking out all the options, we decided to give VOA a shot.
The school is located in a small, one-story building right in the city center. There are two entrances/exits to the building, and you can enter through either one. The classrooms and garages with the cars are right next door, which is super convenient.
The driving range is located near the RAO autoroute on the Moscow highway. They've got all the necessary elements on the range, like the ramp, garage, and snake.
The classroom is pretty nice. It's cozy and spacious, with desks, a whiteboard for the projector, and plenty of signs and posters with traffic signs and other important info.
Now, let's get down to business: when we first contacted the school, they told us the tuition would be 26,000 rubles, which is pretty reasonable. I was stoked to find out that we could pay in installments - the first payment when we enrolled, and the second payment before the course ended. We had to provide some documents, like a copy of our son's passport, his SNILS number, a medical certificate, three photos, and a written application. The course lasts two months. The theory classes are held in the evenings, from 5:30 PM, three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This worked out great for us, since our son is already taking classes at a technical school in the mornings.
The course consists of theory and practice, just like everywhere else. The theory classes are held three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Each class lasts an hour and a half, which is perfect - you don't get too tired, and you absorb the new info really well. I've heard that some driving schools sell extra classes, but not just for practice - even for theory! But at VOA, they provide a complete package of training materials: test analysis, lectures, and educational videos. The most important thing is to show up and listen. I was really impressed with the staff - they're friendly, polite, and explain things until you understand them perfectly. I'd give them five stars just for that.
After passing the theory exam (which, to be honest, I've forgotten when it was), they scheduled our son's driving lessons. It's great that you can negotiate with the instructor and agree on a time that suits you.
As my son told me, on his first driving lesson, the instructor explained where everything is in the car, showed him the driving range, and started teaching him how to start moving. Once he got the hang of it, they moved on to slow driving on the range, practicing different driving elements. A bit later, after two or three weeks, they started taking him on city drives. Before I knew it, our son's driving course was over, and it was time for the exams. Of course, I got a bit nervous then. They explained everything to us in advance, and there were no complications.
On the first scheduled day, our son took the theory exam at the traffic police office. They led him into a room with computers. The traffic police inspector told him where to sit. He had 20 minutes to answer 20 questions. As it turned out, he passed it on the first try. The theory exam was in the morning, and after lunch, they scheduled his driving exam for the next day, which, as it turned out, was a practice run. On the next scheduled day, he took the city driving exam. Our son was a bit scared, and I was worried too. But, in the end, he managed to pass it on his fourth try, although some of his classmates passed it on their first try.
We have no regrets about choosing VOA Elets on Soviet Street. If you're looking for a driving school in our city, I highly recommend this one.
