We were on the hunt for a decent and Instagram-worthy breakfast spot in Venice, but we found it to be a tough task. Grabbing breakfast at the hotel buffet would have been a better option - it's cheaper, more varied, and faster.

The night before, we stumbled upon an old cafe on St. Mark's Square, and we decided to give it a shot the next morning.

The cafe was already open, despite it being early, and it was surprisingly busy. This cafe is super popular and famous, and everyone wants to grab a coffee or try the tiramisu here.

We wanted to try it out too, so we headed over the next morning.

There's a sign at the entrance that says to wait for a free table if needed, but in the morning, there weren't many people, so we got to pick our own spot.

The cafe itself is super old-school, with paintings and sculptures everywhere, and the interior is super pretty. The waitstaff are all dressed in white, and the service is top-notch, even the table settings and food presentation are on point.

The menu is huge, but mostly just desserts and drinks, and it's a cafe, but super pricey. I had a lovely cup of tea and a croissant with apricot jam, and my partner had fish with fish and a coffee.

The bill came out to 52 euros, and our order arrived pretty quickly. While we were waiting, the cafe was filling up with people - it's a pretty big place.
