I've seen my fair share of movies, but this one really caught me off guard. I mean, I've hung out with Turks before, and I thought I knew how they think, but this show is something entirely different. The director and cast are pretty bold, I'll give them credit – they're not afraid to ruffle some feathers.
As someone who's familiar with Turkish culture, I was expecting a certain level of predictability, but this show throws all that out the window. The story is complex, and the characters are multi-dimensional, which makes it hard to pin them down.
What's the show about, anyway?
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the plot. The main character, Jasmine, is a young woman working the night shift. She's got her own goals and aspirations, and I guess that's supposed to justify her lifestyle. But let me tell you, it's not exactly your typical Turkish drama.
One of the things that struck me about the show is the way it tackles some pretty heavy themes. There's a lot of controversy surrounding the show, and I can see why. My Take on the Show
