T-Bank Investments

I've worked with T-Bank Investments, formerly Tinkoff, and I gotta say - they're a solid choice for anyone looking to grow their wealth. They've got a proven track record of helping people achieve their financial goals, and that's what matters most.

My T-bank Investment Nightmare: 35% Losses and a Whole Lot of Trouble

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm still dealing with the aftermath of my disastrous experience with T-bank's investment services. I invested around 31,000 to 32,000 rubles about 3-3.5 years ago, hoping to save some cash and make a quick buck. But things took a turn for the worse when they changed their name from Tinkoff to T-bank. Now I'm facing 35% losses and dealing with some of the worst customer support I've ever encountered. Don't even get me started on the outrageous fees and slow support. If you're thinking of using T-bank, trust me, you should think twice.

I'm sharing my honest experience with T-bank's investment services, and let me tell you, it's been a disaster.
I've been using their services for a few years now, but things took a turn for the worse when they changed their name from Tinkoff to T-bank. The customer support is basically non-existent - they didn't help me at all, and to make matters worse, they even opened a credit card in my name without my consent.
I invested around 31,000 to 32,000 rubles in their investment services about 3-3.5 years ago. I was trying to save some cash for the future, you know, for unexpected expenses like a new gadget or a doctor's visit.
I bought a little bit of different stocks from various companies. Mostly from well-known companies related to oil, construction, and modern IT technologies. I mean, companies that are supposed to make a profit.
I was waiting and hoping that I would at least break even, but no such luck. My losses were consistently around 30-35%. Some stocks would go up, while others would go down even further. And the total amount of my losses was always around 30-35%.I didn't sell or buy anything, I just checked my balance occasionally. The stocks would go down, and then they would go up a little bit, but not much. And then the first ones would go down again, while the second ones would go down even further. And only Yandex would somehow manage to get out of the red zone.
And then there's the commission. Yep, there's a fee if I want to sell or buy something. I pay T-bank 99 rubles per stock. That's not cheap. If you want to play the stock market and constantly buy and sell, you'll always be paying 99 rubles.
So, after 3 years, my stock portfolio has only gone down and down and down, and it's hit rock bottom...
I think it's time to say goodbye to T-bank's investments for good.
Ahahahahahaha, while I was writing this, my losses went from -35% to -36%. Superb!
And I'm also saying goodbye to T-bank forever. They opened a credit card in my name without my consent yesterday.
It's impossible to close my account. To close my account, I need to sell all my stocks. Remember, there's a commission.
Where's the withdrawal button? It's not worth it for the bank. All you've got is a 'top up' button. And it's even better for the bank if they automatically transfer 1,000 rubles to your broker's account every month. That's how they make you think you're saving. That's it, I'm done with this savings account. I withdrew 19,900 rubles out of 31,000 rubles I initially deposited.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If you're a seasoned investor, you might get by. But if you're just hoping to put your money into something that might grow over time, my experience is a warning sign.

Check out these screenshots of the bank's promised returns: 2% growth for Yandex over a year, which means I made a whopping 79 rubles in a year (timeframe highlighted in red).
