I've been a fan of Synergetic products for a while now, but my previous purchases were mostly limited to their cleaning and laundry products, which I was pretty happy with.

I usually buy Synergetic products at the 'Rainbow Smile' store, which has a decent selection of Russian eco-brands.

While browsing the skincare section at 'Rainbow Smile', I stumbled upon Synergetic's facial cleansers, which caught my attention.

I was intrigued by their reputation as a well-established brand, implying their products should be decent. Plus, the packaging was plastered with words like 'Natural', 'Moisturizing', and 'Hypoallergenic', and I was impressed by the 96.2% natural claim.

So, I decided to give it a try (which turned out to be a regretful purchase).

The Synergetic Moisturizing Cleanser isn't exactly budget-friendly, priced at 428 rubles for a 200ml bottle.

However, 'Rainbow Smile' offers an Eco Life subscription, which is free for a month, and grants you a 30% discount on eco-friendly products. So, I got the Synergetic cleanser for 300 rubles.

I'll go over the disadvantages of this product.

1) The smell. Given that this is an eco-friendly product, I expected it to be fragrance-free or have a neutral soap-like scent. But Synergetic's gel has a grassy or herbal smell.

I wouldn't say the smell is unpleasant or overpowering, but it's somehow cheap and quite intense, even when I had a stuffy nose and was having trouble with smells, the gel's aroma still managed to push its way through.

2) The consistency. Yes, it's a gel, not too runny and just right in terms of thickness. This makes it economical to use. However, the consistency is not just gel-like, but rather slimy and unpleasant to the touch.

3) The gel clogs the nozzle of the dispenser very quickly, dries out, and turns into an unappetizing goo.

4) The product is extremely difficult to remove from your skin. You might think that applying a small amount of gel to your palm is a simple matter, but nope...

...you'll find yourself scrubbing away for a long time, only to still have that lingering feeling that you didn't quite get all the gel off.

5) Honestly, I'd have tolerated all the previous four issues if this product had actually delivered on its promise of great skin care. But what I got was a gel that dried out my skin, pulled it tight, and left it feeling rough.

I wasn't expecting any anti-aging benefits, but I was hoping for some serious hydration. Unfortunately, it was a total letdown. The level of skin care this gel provided was on par with something you'd find at a pharmacy for a fraction of the price.

When I realized this 'hydrating' (ugh, three times!) product was actually harming my mature skin, I gave it another chance, this time as a body gel. But it was just as bad. It took just as long to rinse off, left a sticky residue behind, and felt like I was putting a layer of slime on my skin.

Now, I'm using it as a hand soap. And guess what? It's still drying out my skin! I mean, what's the point of a hydrating product if it's just going to suck the moisture right out?

Overall, this gel is a total misfire. I hope the company at Synergetic doesn't keep experimenting with skin care products and sticks to their strengths in cleaning and laundry. They seem to do those well.

I wouldn't recommend this gel to my worst enemy, let alone a friend. And I certainly won't be buying it again.

- It's supposed to be hypoallergenic,

but with a formula this complicated, it's a wonder there aren't more allergic reactions. And the texture? It's like slime!

- It takes ages to rinse off,

- The gel dries out my skin, and the hydration is COMPLETELY non-existent. But wasn't that what it was supposed to do?

I'd give this zero stars if I could. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
