I don't eat chocolate and sweets made from it very often, not because I don't like them, but because they're on my diet's list of forbidden foods. But if I really want to, I can have a little bit - as long as I'm feeling good. On the other hand, I can have fruit paste without any issues, which is why I buy it often. I just can't resist sweets!
But finding good fruit paste is really hard. I usually buy it in specialty stores that sell Eastern sweets.
I once bought a similar fruit paste in the Svetofor store, but the manufacturer was different. It was called 'Pastushka'. The quality was average, but I liked the barberry flavor, so I searched for it online and found it on this website. I could even order a whole box with just that flavor.
Recently, I went to Svetofor to buy frozen vegetables and berries and saw another fruit paste that looked a lot like 'Pastushka', but the box was brighter and the wrapping was different. I decided to try it because they had different flavors.

Smell is purely apple, no other fruit aromas come through.
Taste is just apple, all the candies have the same flavor, the only difference is the wrapper.
I was really disappointed with this fruit pastry. The lack of uniformity in the candies by flavor was a major turn-off for me.
The texture of the unopened ones didn't look great, and the fact that they were all different thicknesses was confusing.
And to make matters worse, the candies were already opened when I got them.
I have to say, the only positives I can think of are the ingredients, freshness, and colorful packaging - everything else is a minus.
