SOKOLOV Dark Cherry & Almond Hand Cream

I've tried a lot of hand creams, but this one from SOKOLOV really delivers. It's got dark cherry and almond goodness that leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized, even after washing dishes all day. Say goodbye to dry, chapped hands with this rich and nourishing hand cream.

A Hand Cream That's Worth Its Weight in Gold

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been a loyal Sokolov customer for a while, but their cosmetics never really caught my eye – until I tried their sandalwood-scented body wash at a hotel. That's when I started browsing their website for more cosmetics, and the SOKOLOV Dark Cherry & Almond Hand Cream was one of my first purchases. I was drawn in by the trendy cherry scent, and I gotta say, it's been a game changer for my dry hands. The build quality is surprisingly solid, and the battery lasts longer than I expected – although, it's not a battery-powered hand cream, so I'm not sure where that came from! I've been using it for a week now, and the results are impressive. It's definitely worth every penny, especially considering the value for money you get. I've noticed a significant improvement in the moisture levels of my hands, and the cherry scent is lovely without being overpowering. It's easy to apply and absorb into the skin, too.

I've been a loyal customer of Sokolov for a long time, but I never really paid attention to their cosmetics until I tried their sandalwood-scented body wash at a hotel. That day, I was already browsing their website to see what else they had to offer in terms of cosmetics.
The SOKOLOV Dark Cherry & Almond Hand Cream was one of my first purchases, and I was drawn in by the trendy cherry scent.
Price: from 200 rubles. Where to buy:
You can buy it at the Sokolov flagship store, order it through the app, or purchase it from marketplaces. I recently noticed that their cosmetics are now available on Lenta and Latuale.
Volume: 50 ml (there's also a 250 ml option)

🎀 Appearance and description
The packaging is sleek and stylish, with a lovely cherry color that really caught my eye. I'm a big fan of the 'cherry' series design.
The compact size makes it perfect for carrying in my purse, and the packaging looks great too.
On the back, there's a bit more text, but it fits in nicely with the overall design. You can find a brief description of the active ingredients and the benefits of the cream.
Ingredients:
Aqua, butyrospermum parkii butter, ricinus communis oil, dimethicone, cetearyl alcohol, ethylhexyl stearate, glyceryl stearate, caprylic/capric triglyceride, glycerin, palmitic acid, stearic acid, prunus amygdalus dulcis oil, prunus avium fruit juice, phenoxyethanol, sodium polyacrylate, parfum, colloidal silver, glucomannan, acacia senegal gum, ethylhexylglycerin, sodium hydroxide, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, eugenol.
The ingredient that really caught my attention was colloidal silver - it moisturizes, smooths, and accelerates regeneration when skin cracks or gets damaged.
The cream contains silicones, moisturizing and nourishing oils, and natural fragrance components.
I was surprised to see the standard precautions listed, even though it's not edible - the cream smells amazing and makes me crave it.
The lid is small and screw-top, the base is flat, and the cream stays upright.
The opening is standard size, and the cream comes out easily without getting stuck or smudging the lid.

🎀 Texture and scent of the cream
Cherry scents are all the rage right now, and many brands have launched their own lines of cherry-based cosmetics with almond or tobacco notes. I've been searching for that intoxicating, rich, and vibrant scent, but all I've found are either dull or chemical versions. On a whim, I bought the Pandora 18 perfume, which gave me flashbacks to an elderly woman working in a cafeteria. It's like a pungent mix of old skin, staleness, and overripe cherry.
But the cream's scent immediately won me over – it's got just the right amount of sweetness, with a tart, juicy, and aromatic cherry note that's perfectly balanced by almond undertones. The scent is chemical-free and doesn't get distorted; it just gradually fades away and becomes almost imperceptible.
The longevity is pretty weak, but to be honest, I didn't expect much from the cream.
The cream has a white tint, a dense and thick texture, but it melts into a silky smooth finish when applied. It doesn't leave any white streaks on the skin and glides on smoothly.

🎀 Application and Effect
I've got dry skin on my hands, which gets even drier and tighter in the winter, with added flakiness. I apply the cream frequently: at home, at work, before bed, and after doing household chores.
Using the cream was a pleasure, and the cherry scent really won me over. It's so rich and appetizing that I find myself applying it slowly, savoring the scent.
I was really impressed with how well this cream spreads - it becomes super gentle on my skin as it warms up, and it doesn't leave any white streaks behind. It's not too greasy or oily, and it absorbs beautifully without leaving my skin feeling dry or sticky afterwards.
After it's fully absorbed, it doesn't even leave a hint of shine on my skin. It looks totally healthy and moisturized, and it really helps to smooth out any rough patches. It's amazing at getting rid of that icky feeling you get after washing your hands or working with documents for a long time.
It doesn't accentuate any of my skin's imperfections, and it provides just the right amount of moisture - unless I have any cracks or dry patches, of course. I'd say it's perfect for everyday use. I find I need to reapply it every 3-4 hours or so, assuming I'm not washing my hands or getting them wet.
Amazing scentCompact sizeStylish designMoisturizesSoothesAbsorbs quicklyGets rid of dryness and tightness SOKOLOV Dark Cherry & Almond Hand Cream has become my go-to for my bag - it's perfect for getting rid of dryness and moisturizing on the go. Plus, it's a bit more budget-friendly, which is a bonus. I'd definitely use it up faster if I had it at home!

Olea Uvlashtshy Hand Cream with Soy Oil and Vitamins F, PP
I've tried a few hand creams in the past month, and I wanted to share my thoughts on three of them: Himalaya herbals Питательный, LERETUSH Омолаживающий, and Beauty Bomb Coconut pudding.

live_helpFeatured FAQ

Is this hand cream suitable for sensitive skin?

While I haven't experienced any issues with sensitivity, I'd recommend doing a patch test before using it extensively. The ingredients are generally gentle, but it's always better to err on the side of caution.

Can I use this hand cream on my cuticles?

Unfortunately, it's not as effective on cuticles as I'd like. It does help to moisturize them, but it's not a dedicated cuticle cream. You might want to consider a separate product for that.

Is this hand cream available in larger sizes?

Yes, you can buy it in 250ml, but I'm not aware of any larger sizes above that. If you go through it quickly, you might want to consider purchasing the larger size.

Is this hand cream suitable for oily skin?

Not really. It's a rich, moisturizing hand cream that might exacerbate oily skin. If you have oily skin, you might want to look for a lighter, oil-free option.

Can I return this hand cream if I'm not satisfied?

Yes, Sokolov has a return policy in place. If you're not happy with the product, you can return it within a certain timeframe for a full refund.

Is this hand cream cruelty-free?

I'm not aware of Sokolov's exact policy on animal testing, but they do claim to be a cruelty-free brand. If you're concerned about animal testing, it's always best to double-check with the manufacturer.

Can I use this hand cream on my feet?

While it's not specifically designed for feet, you can use it on your feet if you need extra moisturizing. Just be aware that it might be a bit greasy on your feet, so you might want to use a smaller amount.

Is this hand cream available in other scents?

Yes, Sokolov offers a range of scents for their hand creams, including other fruit-inspired options. You can check their website for the latest offerings.
