I took my little ones to Sakskin's House in Moscow and was blown away by the interactive exhibits. This place is a total game-changer for kids who love to explore and learn. With hands-on activities and engaging shows, they can discover new things at their own pace. Whether you're planning a birthday bash or just need a fun day out, Sakskin's House is a top pick for families with kids of all ages. The staff is super friendly and helpful, too.

Hello there! If you're wondering where to take the kids, grab a seat and I'll tell you about this cool spot - the Skaazkin Dom museum-theatre.
The interactive museum-theatre for kids, Skaazkin Dom, is a place where kids have a blast and adults don't get bored. Professional actors playing the roles of fairy tale characters tell kids the story of how these tales came to be, introduce them to the items of the fairy tale world, and solve fun riddles.
Skaazkin Dom, a museum of Russian fairy tales and their heroes, offers programs and shows for kids of all ages - even for toddlers (the interactive show involves kids from 1 to 12 years old).
It's located on the 3rd floor of the Riviera Trade and Entertainment Center (Moscow). The center itself is pretty convenient - it's right on the 3rd transport ring, close to the Avtozavodskaya and Tulskaya metro stations (there's a free shuttle bus every 30 minutes from there). So, you can get there easily by car or on foot.
The center is huge, with plenty of shops, entertainment pavilions, and a food court. You can spend the whole day here, find a place to eat, and have fun.
After taking the elevator to the 3rd floor, you'll see various game and entertainment pavilions, including Skaazkin Dom, Kidburg, a cinema, a contact zoo, and Panda Park.
If you plan to visit Kidburg and Skaazkin Dom, there's a great option - a 'Joint ticket for Kidburg and Skaazkin Dom' for kids.
The cost of the 'Joint ticket' is:
1350 rubles on weekdays (if you buy separate tickets, it'll be 890 rubles for Skaazkin Dom and 650 rubles for Kidburg, totaling 1540 rubles; you save 190 rubles with the joint ticket) 1650 rubles on weekends (Skaazkin Dom ticket costs 990 rubles + Kidburg ticket costs 850 rubles = 1880 rubles; you save 190 rubles with the joint ticket)
I bought a joint ticket for my kid through the official website and also bought two adult tickets for Skaazkin Dom and Kidburg.
Adult tickets cost 550 rubles on weekdays and weekends.
It's a good idea to arrive 20 minutes before the show starts so you can undress (there's a small dressing room with hooks), change into the required alternative shoes (although nobody actually did), and let the kids run around in the play area.
The show started on time and lasted around an hour. Our story was called "How Ivan Tsarevich Sought Happiness", which is geared towards kids aged 4-12. Ivan Tsarevich himself was the host.
The start of the showIn the 39th kingdom, in the 30th state, there lived and resided the son of the king, Ivan Tsarevich. As his wedding time approached, the king-father ordered him to go out into the open field and shoot an arrow – wherever the arrow landed, that's where his fate would be. But Ivan shot the arrow so high and far that he had no idea where to start looking for it now. Soon the story is told, but it's not so easy to make it happen, it's time for Ivan Tsarevich to hit the road, but the forests are dense and the bogs are treacherous – neither horses can ride through nor can people walk. Oh, how much help he needed! Who's brave and clever, big or small, is waiting for you, Ivan Tsarevich, to go after happiness, find the arrow, and remember the story. We'll go through 33 stories, take the secret paths, but find Ivan's happiness!
Watching and participating in the show was fun for both kids and adults.
Even the big dads had a hard time squeezing through the narrow chimney! They even made us go through the chimney. And when one of the men almost got stuck in the chimney, I was reminded of a Winnie the Pooh cartoon:
-It's all clear, you're stuck!
-It's because someone has too narrow doors!
-No, it's because someone eats too much!!!
Moral of the story: don't eat too much before going to the theater, or you might end up in an awkward situation.
The theater's decorations are excellent, and the costumes for the characters are great too. The script is interesting and suitable for the age group of the audience. My 4-year-old daughter was the youngest, and the script was a bit too complex for her. The others were between 7 and 11 years old, and they were more active, especially the boys.
We started with a presentation in the game zone, then we went through 4 different rooms, where kids helped Ivan Tsarevich find his arrow and listened to his stories, following his instructions.
Happiness was found!)!)
Happy Newlyweds To be honest, the only thing that bothered me was that the groups were too big for one host. Our group had 11 kids and 13 adults, making it 14 people in total! And then imagine packing all those people into a tiny room of 9-10 square meters.
It was cramped, stuffy, and everyone was trying to talk at the same time. It was like taking the metro at 8 am, but instead of paying 550 rubles to get in, you'd pay 55!)
For me, this was a major oversight. Especially since we went to a theatrical performance about Bogatyry Alasha Popovich in Yaroslavl with our family and friends, and it was a huge difference - just 5 viewers and one host! It's a massive difference, and, to be honest, not in favor of the Fairy Tale House.
Of course, you have to make a profit, but let's do the math:
11 kids at 890 rubles each = 9,790 rubles
13 adults at 550 rubles each = 7,150 rubles
9,790 + 7,150 = 16,940 rubles for one performance! A normal profit for 45 minutes of animation)
I think if they had lowered the price for kids' tickets or reduced the number of attendees to 16-18 people, it would be better. They'd lose 2-3 thousand rubles per performance, but they'd attract more people, and adults would be more likely to bring their kids back to the same theater for another show.
I've gotta say, going back there was like being in a packed bus during rush hour - only if it's absolutely necessary.
The kid's happy, and that's the most important thing!
Goodnight, Gerastikez ❤❤❤
