I remember when Kai was a pup, his soft undercoat would mat easily and I'd have to brush him at least once a week. But as he grew up and his coat got thicker, I've been able to go to every 1.5 to 2 weeks without any issues.

We feed Kai raw meat, offal, fish, and a bit of veggies. His appetite has always been crazy - I mean, I've seen him inhale his food in one sitting! I recall one time, when he was still on holistic food, I gave him way too much and the whole apartment was covered in a mess!

Ears

We didn't quite manage to get his ears to fold back the way they're supposed to. The breeder recommended using a mixture of flour and water to help, and it sort of worked. But Kai's always been a curious guy and would often perk up his ears, so I decided to just let him be. After all, we love him just the way he is!

Barking

I've read and heard that Shelties are super chatty and love to bark for no reason. I'm not sure if we're just lucky, but Kai's actually pretty quiet. He'll occasionally bark or whine if he hears something outside, but other than that, he's pretty chill. He'll whimper a bit when we're getting ready to leave, but that's about it. I asked our neighbors if they've ever heard him when we're not home, and they said he's actually pretty quiet too. Maybe it's because he's always got his feline buddy by his side!

My dog loves to snuggle up next to me at night, and he's always keeping an eye on me to make sure I'm comfortable.

When I leave the room, he's always waiting for me to come back, and he's always happy to see me.

It's hilarious to see him waiting for me at the door when I come home.

Sometimes, just like me, he loves to stare at the screen and get lost in whatever he's watching.

What I love about my dog is that he's always up for an adventure, no matter the weather. Whether it's playing fetch or going for a walk, he's always game. And the best part? He's always happy to have a drink of water whenever he needs it.

But for some reason, I think my dog loves winter the most. There's something about the snow and the cold that just makes him happy.
