I'm at my wit's end with Rostelecom. They've been driving me crazy with calls for over a year now, and I've had it up to here.
Background.We live in a suburban area on the outskirts of the city, and we didn't have fiber-optic cables in our neighborhood. When Rostelecom came to lay the cables, we had to invest our own money to get to the bordering pole. It cost us around 10-15 thousand rubles, I'm not entirely sure. This was about a year ago, maybe a bit longer. That's when I left them my number for further coordination and planning.
They laid the fiber-optic cables, connected our internet, and we decided to sign a contract with them under my husband's name, so he could handle the payments and any potential issues. He's more stress-resistant than I am. That was my fatal mistake.
The internet itself:It's been great, with excellent speeds and no limits. We've had zero issues since they connected it.
Irony alert! I'm writing a one-star review, but the quality of their services is top-notch, in my opinion. It's just their attitude towards customers that's a total disaster.
The speed test results from their website:
internet speedWe can stream movies in 1080p without any issues, and the router is working great. My husband's gaming laptop is performing well, and he's even complimented the connection. We've had no problems whatsoever.They don't charge us extra for any services, and when a storm damaged the cables outside our house, they came to fix it for free. We didn't go more than a day without internet.
Rostelecom routerWe have the Wink service included in our package (we pay around 1000 rubles a month for internet and TV), which allows us to watch various new releases for free.
WinkWe own the equipment outright, and it's been working flawlessly.
So why do I hate them?They've been calling me nonstop for over a year now, ever since my husband signed the contract and we started using their internet.
Why are they calling me? To ask me to connect their internet!!!!
And, unfortunately, I have to answer unknown numbers. They call from different numbers.
Initially, I was polite:
Hello, this is Rostelecom, we'd like to offer you our internet services. Please tell us your city, and we'll check if it's possible.
Good day, I already have your internet connected, but it's under my husband's name. Thank you.
I've been asking them to add me to their database for a while now, to stop calling me every couple of weeks. Polite, roughly a year.
A whole year, Carl! A whole year I've been telling them I have their internet, and they'd respond, 'Okay, we've marked it down, there won't be any more calls.' But then they'd call again a few weeks later with the same old recording. I was about to get a monument to my patience erected!
After six months, I started getting a bit snarky, because I was fed up. 'How many times can I repeat the same thing?' I'd say. 'Do you all have sclerotic brains or something?'
The call after the 20th time, I'd lost count, and I just lost it and started yelling at them. This was just what I needed.
The great Russian profanity worked a charm. It wasn't just any girls calling me, but a Rostelecom representative from our city, who was in charge of laying the fiber-optic cables. And he had the nerve to ask me if I'd thought of connecting to their internet?!!!!!
I'd already yelled at him, and he told me that he'd marked it down, that there wouldn't be any more calls. I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that I'd finally gotten through to someone, that he was high up in their hierarchy.

Two weeks later:
Hello, this is Rostelecom. Would you like to connect to our internet?!!!
I'm exhausted. Now, I'm at the stage where I'm thinking, 'Yes, I want to.' Send someone over. But I understand that they'll just send some poor guy to check if they can connect their internet to a place where it's already been installed. And I still feel sorry for that guy.
Every time we talk, they say they've marked it down in their system, that there won't be any more calls. And yet, they keep calling.
They call from different numbers, maybe someone knows a spam filter that blocks all their numbers? If you do, please leave a comment below.

Stop terrorizing me with calls for over a year now! If you don't, I'll disconnect it and switch to a competitor. How many times can I take this?! I've been meaning to do it for a while now, but I'm afraid of wasting the money I've spent on it. How infuriating!
I wouldn't recommend, don't make the same mistake I did, give them one number and sign the contract with another.
And you know what's the funniest part? They've called my husband twice in all this time. TWO!
They offered to change his tariff, but they just keep calling me. I asked my husband to tell them not to call me, but it didn't help.
I genuinely hate them now, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!
UPD: Rostelecom responded to my review, telling me where exactly I should go to resolve the issue. I decided to write to them on VK, where they told me again that they'd mark my number down in their system within five days. We'll see. I'll update you here when I get the results.
But the real test came when I actually needed customer support. I reached out to them after noticing a weird issue with the product, and I have to say, they responded promptly and helped me resolve the problem. I was impressed by their willingness to listen and make things right.
