I've been a fan of Essential Parfums' Nice Bergamot, but their other scents, like Bois Imperial and Divine Vanille, just didn't quite hit the mark for me.

Despite that, I was drawn to the brand's concept, so I decided to give another scent a try. I settled on Rose Magnetic after reading plenty of positive reviews, and the pyramid caught my eye with its intriguing note combination.

Rose Magnetic Essential Parfums I was planning to buy it blind, as there's no Golden Apple store in my city, and the brand is only available in offline stores there. I was about to order the 10ml mini when, out of nowhere, the Golden Apple app offered a one-day deal that dropped the price of the 100ml bottle to 3999 roubles. Of course, I immediately placed my order and got the bottle I wanted, but in the end, the purchase wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. But I'll get to that later. 🌹 General info:

The Rose Magnetic scent is a playful, enchanting, and modern fragrance that captures the essence of the most sensual flower. Its bright femininity is contrasted with notes of grapefruit and fresh mint. Lychee, cedar, musk, and vanilla enhance the hypnotic allure of the composition, which is built around Turkish rose.

Packaging for Essential Parfums' fragrances is unique and eco-friendly.

Instead of standard boxes, they use a modular construction made of multiple cardboard inserts, topped with their signature 'wrap' secured by a special ribbon with a holographic 3D design. Inside these inserts, the bottle is fixed.

You can find the fragrance description, the perfumer's image, ingredients, and other information on the back of the 'wrap'.

As for the eco-friendliness of the packaging, I think the idea is interesting, but from an eco-perspective, it would be more environmentally friendly to use a thin recycled cardboard box and not waste so much paper, which is only thrown away after unpacking the bottle. It's not convenient to assemble and store the entire structure with the bottle inside.

I really like the bottle itself. All the brand's fragrances have identical 100ml bottles, with only the name differing.

It's a perfect geometric shape with slightly rounded edges, made from very dense and high-quality glass.

The front features a minimalist sticker, almost like handmade paper, with the fragrance name.

When you flip it over, you'll find more detailed information about this perfume.

And it's no coincidence that it's labeled as 'refillable'. The Essential Parfums bottles are designed to be opened and refilled, which is exactly what the 150ml refills are for. That's really eco-friendly.

The cap is plastic, but it's sturdy. It closes with a satisfying click and stays securely in place. The top features a debossed logo from the brand.

The sprayer is metal and does its job perfectly, releasing a fine mist.

The bottom features a batch code engraved into it.

I have to say, my experience with the Rose Magnetic Essential Parfums was pretty short-lived, and that's because I just didn't pick up on half the notes they're touting in their pyramid.

But I have to admit, it's an interesting and promising scent - they're talking about flowers, citrus, mint, and vanilla with beans.

I was expecting a rose in citrus, with a hint of grapefruit bitterness and a cool mint note that would transform into a warm vanilla-herbal-woody base. Yeah, that was a buzzkill.

For me, the Rose Magnetic starts off with a rose and a whole lot of lychee.

The rose is gorgeous - it's light, fresh, and elegant. It's not cloying at all, and it's nothing like the Bulgarian rose scent that I absolutely can't stand in perfumes and room sprays to boot.

This rose is natural, no synthetic or chemical notes in sight.

But it's paired with a ton of lychee.

And these lychees are unripe, so they're super tart and will pucker your lips.

It's a weird feeling, like it's both delicate and pretty thanks to the rose, but the tart lychees just overwhelm your senses and prevent you from fully appreciating it.

I love the note of grapefruit, but it's nowhere to be found here. And that's a shame, because a hint of its delicate bitterness would have been welcome.

And the mint? Forget about it - it's nowhere to be seen (or at least, I couldn't pick it up).

Later on, the scent gets sweeter. But it's not vanilla - it's more like a sugary or syrupy note.

It's like they took the petals of the rose and lychee and made a jam out of them. Sweet and sour, jelly-like or marzipan-like, it's actually pretty nice.

I have to say, I didn't pick up on the vanilla or tonka beans that were supposed to be in the pyramid. What a letdown 😄?) Where's the magic?!)

For me, Rose Magnetic is still just a pleasant scent that gradually fades and loses its intensity.

I don't really get cedarwood, but I do get a hint of musk. Not the loud, overpowering kind, but more of a subtle, loyal one.

Interestingly, the tartness in the base is much less pronounced, and the scent sounds nicer than when it first starts.

And that's the end of the story 😄.

I was hoping for something more interesting, but what I got was a pretty nice take on the 'rose-orchid' theme.

By the way, Rose Magnetic reminds me a lot of Chloe Naturelle, which I used to have in my collection. But Chloe was sweeter and more intense.

It lasts a decent amount of time – around 5 hours on skin, 12 hours on fabrics and hair.

As for projection, I'd say it's almost non-existent – I've never had anyone notice it on me, and I've received zero compliments about it either).

So, in my opinion, Rose Magnetic is a nice, pleasant scent. If you're a rose fan, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

That being said, it doesn't live up to its promise of having a wide range of notes, so my expectations weren't met. Still, I do enjoy using it every now and then when I'm in the mood.
