I recently picked up the ROSE ET MARIUS Un rendez-vous avec Cézanne candle from the Golden Apple box I bought back in December. The scent I was expecting based on reviews was a strong tobacco smell, but what I got was a warm, woody scent that I've been obsessed with ever since. It's actually a really interesting blend of spices and trees. The perfumer did a great job.
I had a different experience with another candle from the same box, which I didn't love as much - the 100BON Secret Garden candle. It was way too sweet.

The Un rendez-vous avec Cézanne candle is an olfactory impression in the footsteps of the artist.
Dried-on-sun leaves of light tobacco blend with warm notes of skin and fragrant heliotrope flowers. Amber undertones add an air of sophistication to the lower notes. The soft, velvety sound is mesmerizing, with a bold combination of cedar and cypress.
I loved the description - it really matches the scent. I've never been to Grasse, but I can imagine what it must be like now.
The Golden Apple is definitely the place to buy this candle.
The price is 16,000 rubles for 100ml without discount, and a discounted price of 6,000 rubles, or 1,800 rubles for 30ml with a big discount. Either way, it's a great value for the quality you get.

There's no freshness, the leather is spot on, and it's got a hint of pine forest. I'm head over heels in love with this blend - I have no idea what balsam smells like, but maybe it's needed here.
It's not sweet and not light, it's spicy and leathery, woody and warm. I have no idea who found the fruits and sweetness, but for me, they're completely absent.
Where to wear? Honestly, it's a versatile scent that's perfect for any occasion. I wear it everywhere, except to work. I prefer something more feminine for my office job.
Who's it for? This is a 100% unisex scent. Both men and women can wear it. Not all unisex scents can pull this off, but this one does.
What age range? I'd say it's suitable for people over 25, but it might not be the best fit for those under 40-45. It's a mature scent, but not too mature. I think it would be a bit too much for someone over 50.
What time of year? It's perfect for fall and winter. I wouldn't wear it in the summer, as it's a bit too warm.

The scent is slightly bitter, but in a good way, not too feminine, more masculine, but still works well as a unisex scent on women. It's smoky and rugged, but soft and not too heavy. You need to wear it to appreciate it. I highly recommend trying it out in the Gold Apple.
I'm completely blown away by this one. The scent is complex and I'm wearing it all the time. I'd give it five stars and definitely recommend buying it.
