I'm sharing my thoughts on Pyaterochka. As I was shopping, I caught the scent of pine, and it's getting festive for the New Year!

This is one of the first self-service stores in the area, and I've been shopping here for ages.I used to make a mess with my cart, piling items high. The discounted products are super tempting – I loved buying Fitness cereal on sale, and I always grabbed avocados. The home goods here are still top-notch! I even bought my favorite fluffy robe here in full size! Tea and coffee are staples for me at Pyaterochka.

Of course, there are some products at the store with prices that are just too low – it's better to steer clear of those.

I'll be honest, I once fell for a shampoo for 19 rubles, and let's just say it didn't end well. I'd advise against those cheap, soap-like products. The shampoo has since increased in price by about 10 times, but I'm not convinced the quality has improved.I'm really disappointed in the magazine stands now – they look like this:

Lév Goliçin price at 5.I used to take the Soviet one when I was out with friends or on a New Year's Eve stroll. We'd always end up spilling half of it when we opened it, and it's really more of a mood-setter than something to drink on a cold night.

A classic champagne for the table.You can put together some nice corporate gifts with these bottles.Of course, rose champagne is always the best, but it's usually sold out by the time New Year's rolls around, even at Norman's.

New Year's ChampagneAs someone who's not a big fan of drinking, I still grab a bottle of champagne for the holidays. Someone's bound to drink it. Not once has the bottle gone untouched.And I get to enjoy the sound of the cork popping, the foam, the cheers, and the champagne splashing into the glasses of my guests.

I've been going to Pyaterochka for ages. It's one of the first big grocery stores to open near my place. I felt more independent grabbing products off the shelves rather than buying them from a counter.

Normally, I'd head to Pyaterochka on December 15th to buy gifts for New Year's.

It's nice to visit my guests in January with something in hand, even if I'm invited on short notice. On average, I'd spend around 15,000 rubles. I'd plan to buy tea, wine, a few gift sets, but end up with meat in slices, discounted spices, chocolates to try and the same for gifts, plenty of tea because I'd get mugs and a glintwein set, salmon, nori, and caviar for sushi. Oh, and that's not even counting anything for the table.Now, when it comes to New Year's, I only go to the store with a list.

Gifts for the hostess on New Year'sNothing extra gets bought. But the store itself remains unchanged. It's still Pyaterochka.I recommend.
