I'm sharing my personal experience and thoughts about Profhilo bio-rejuvenation in this review.
I've been going to a dermatologist for ages - ever since I was 23, I'd occasionally pop in for cleansings, treatments, and massages, and since I turned 27, I've added some more advanced procedures like Xeomin injections (for those who don't know, Xeomin is a type of botulinum toxin, but don't worry, I'll explain the difference in a separate review) and various bio-revitalizations.

I want to clarify a few things upfront:

Profhilo Reviews: My Experience with Bio-RejuvenationI've heard about Profhilo for ages, but my dermatologist finally agreed to do it for me.
I've been hearing about this bio-rejuvenation treatment for a long time:
my friend was raving about it when we were still in our early twenties,
and I, on instinct, asked my dermatologist for the same treatment, but she refused, saying it wasn't needed for my skin type.
It's only now, based on my current situation, past experience, and my own wishes, that my dermatologist suggested I try Profhilo.
Why now?
Now, theoretically, Profhilo could help me because I have the right indications.
I have a deformative aging type:
that's when your face starts to sag, your skin loses its tone, your cheeks droop, and you get wrinkles and all that jazz. And it only gets worse with age – I'm just starting to notice the first signs.
But a deformative aging type isn't necessarily an indication to choose Profhilo.
Over the past two years, I've been wearing braces, and it's really changed my face:
previously, I had a very defined cheekbone structure, even when I was super thin,
even when I was at my skinniest, my cheekbones were still prominent
I've got to admit, the reason I'm not thrilled with my new look is because of the bite adjustment I'm still getting used to.

So, I used to loathe my cheekbones, but thanks to orthodontic treatment, they're finally gone.
However, I've ended up with a sunken face that I'm not too fond of, as it looks like my cheeks have receded, exposing the uneven bone structure of my face (which isn't exactly perfect to begin with: I've got those pesky jowls that give me a slightly puffy face in certain lighting, but that's only fixable with surgery),
- in short, it's all growing on me.

I've noticed that people often reassure me that it's just the lighting when I complain about my face,
but as a perfectionist, that doesn't exactly calm me down:
I'd like my face to look good even in harsh lighting.

And to add to the sagging face, I've got premature wrinkles and a face shape that's getting ready to ship out)) Of course, if my cheeks were still with me, I'm pretty sure the wrinkles would be more noticeable right now.
So, my reason for trying Profhilo was the first signs of deformation-based aging and a slight lack of volume in the middle third of my face after getting braces (my cheeks are gone, taking the necessary volume with them) – that's when the dermatologist herself suggested Profhilo biorevitalization.
The gist
As my dermatologist explained and as I've learned from conversations with friends who are also into dermatology,
Profhilo is a product that combines biorevitalization and is similar to a filler: it acts as a biorevitalizer, gently correcting and adding volume, which is why you can see a lifting effect.
But it's not a filler: it can't correct or add volume that you never had in the first place. And that's something you need to understand to avoid unrealistic expectations.
So, in my case, we were planning to use Profhilo to add volume to the middle third, which would help pull the oval shape back into place and make it more even.

I've got to say, Profhilo is the most comfortable bio-revitalization I've tried, and here's why:
It's done with just a few needle pricks in specific points.I think it was no more than 10 times the needle touched my face. That's a major win, especially for those who are afraid of needles.
The procedure itself was painless - I've had worse.The treatment is done once, and they promise results that last for 4-6 months, sometimes up to a year (the longevity of the results is totally individual).But I did see some online reviews saying that some experts recommend doing two sessions back-to-back with a month in between.
I think that's all down to individual circumstances and something you should discuss with your cosmetic doctor.
Recovery
There's no real recovery time, to be honest, since the needle pricks are minimal.
I didn't get any bruises or papules.I did have some minor redness on the first day, but that cleared up a few hours after the treatment.I did notice some swelling under my eyes on the 2-4th day, though.My doc did warn me about that, so if you're prone to swelling, just keep it in mind. The swelling under my eyes went away after a few hours or with some cooling masks.
Results
I was pretty happy with the results: I could see a noticeable difference between Before and After Profhilo biorevitalization.It took around 10 days to see the effects, which my dermatologist had warned me about.I got exactly what I was hoping for – a boost in volume in the middle third of my face, which made my skin look smoother.
Straight after the procedure

Here's how my face looks now 👆, taken in poor lighting. Again: this is already, in my opinion, the perfect result from cosmetic treatments after Profhilo and micro-colon, which I did a month after Profhilo. The photo isn't immediately after the procedures, but almost 2 months after the last injection.

However, Profhilo isn't an ideal procedure for me, and that's something to consider:
the treatment is pricey:I paid 16,500 rubles, and I monitored the prices out of curiosity, learning that in many clinics the range for it is 18-23 thousand rubles
swelling after the procedure can last for several daysProfhilo is advertised as a biorevitalizer, but I didn't notice any biorevitalization effect on the skin quality,maybe it was already well-hydrated for noticeable results 🤔… But if you're looking to improve overall skin condition, add shine and smoothness, I'd choose a different biorevitalizer, especially considering Profhilo is above average in price compared to other products.
Despite Profhilo not being a one-time procedure every few years,
After just one session, I noticed a pretty noticeable improvement, but I'm not yet satisfied with the results – I guess I'm just being too hard on myself 😁, although many dermatologists claim that Profailo can deliver results with just one syringe.And honestly, it's not just about my mindset, but I had a colonoscopy scheduled for a month from now (check out the photo above), and some people might be pinning their hopes on a single session.
Overall impression
In my opinion, Profailo is worth recommending, as the effect is there,
but you shouldn't go in blindly based on product descriptions – it's essential to consult with a knowledgeable specialist who'll assess your individual needs and cosmetic goals.
It's possible that one session might not be enough for optimal results, so be sure to discuss the details with your specialist, who'll provide a personalized diagnosis.
The procedure itself is a breeze, and there's minimal downtime, which is a major plus compared to other biorevitalization treatments.
Personally, I might consider a repeat session, especially in combination with a colonoscopy (we'll decide on the best course of action once my braces are removed and we can assess the most effective treatment protocol)
