I think it's weird that they show the kids getting dirty all the time, but not consistently sticking to one behavior. I mean, little kids don't differentiate between TV and reality, and it's not great if your kid starts imitating this behavior. There are kids out there who take their cues from their favorite characters, and this kind of behavior can be pretty damaging.

Let's remember the old Soviet cartoon about a piglet named Chunya, who was always messy and didn't like it. Peppa Pig is basically the opposite of that.

At first glance, Peppa Pig seems like a cute and colorful cartoon that's both entertaining and educational. But, once you get into a few episodes, you might start to lose interest.

Let me break it down-

Main Characters:

Peppa Pig: She's 5 years old, spoiled, egotistical, and sometimes condescending. She loves to tease her dad and isn't always careful with her words - in many episodes, she calls him fat and says he's stupid. But she's a great big sister and always looks out for her little brother.

George: This little guy's been around for 3 years, and no matter how many episodes I've watched, all I've ever heard from him is one word: Dinosaur. And that's it? I guess kids are different, maybe he'll learn to talk someday. Honestly, this character just doesn't grab my attention. He's a bit of a doofus, and everything he does is all about the Dinosaur.

Mummy Pig: She's a stay-at-home mom, and she's always looking out for her little ones. It's pretty clear that she's the one in charge in this family, especially with a husband like that.

Daddy Pig: He's a bit of a show-off, always trying to impress everyone. But let's be real, he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Poppet loves to tease him, calling him names like 'stupid', and everyone just laughs it off. It's like no one takes him seriously. In a lot of episodes, they show how easy it is to take advantage of him - leave him outside, give his dessert to the ducks, trip him up. Daddy Pig's always the butt of the joke, always getting laughed at for being clumsy and silly.

I'd say this cartoon is pretty tolerant, letting kids get away with a lot – they can play around, throw things, insult adults, and stay up late. Meanwhile, the adults just shrug it off, don't make any comments, and actually join in on the kids' antics, ending up lying on their backs, flailing their legs, and laughing ridiculously.

And within a 5-minute episode – every 10 seconds – there's forced laughter. It's especially grating when the laughter is completely out of place. For example:

There's an episode where a zebra kid holds up the school bus, and the teacher, Madame Gazelle, greets him with, 'You almost missed the bus!' And everyone bursts out laughing. What's the point of that laughter?Or take another example – there's an episode where Peppa and her friend eat their breakfast too early, get scolded by the teacher, and then Peppa blames it all on her friend! After that, everyone – including the teacher – bursts out laughing again. In this scene, kids are being taught to lie and shift the blame onto others.The animation and character designs aren't particularly impressive – pigs look like... well, you know, pigs, I guess. But some other animals are harder to tell apart.
