I'm not a morning person, but I know I need to fuel up to start my day off right. I've been experimenting with different breakfast options, and I've found that oatmeal with coconut oil, peanut butter, and some fruit is my go-to. Sometimes I add cocoa powder to make it chocolatey. I usually make it with water or add some plant-based milk because I'm not a fan of lactose. To be honest, I've never been a big fan of breakfast because of my lactose intolerance. As a kid, I would get sick after drinking milk, but I didn't know it was the milk that was causing the problem. I'd either skip breakfast or just drink tea. It's been years since I've sorted out my diet, but I still don't enjoy cooking breakfast in the morning. That's why I need something easy and hassle-free.
This time, I got my hands on a great breakfast mix from Ol' Light - fruit-flavored oats. I love this brand because they have a lot of lactose-free options, and I can try new flavors without worrying. They have three different types of oats: strawberry, tropical, and apple. I'm reviewing the strawberry ones, so let's get started!

MY IMPRESSIONS
The package opens easily, and it's not difficult to tear it along the line. And then I use the zipper closure.
Allight Oat Flakes with Fruits 'Strawberry'The manufacturer claims that one serving is 40 grams, and I agree that's a normal amount. But I usually eat nothing else besides the porridge, so I make my serving 50-60 grams, and it lasts me until lunch.
The flakes look like the most ordinary oat flakes I always eat for breakfast.
All-Bright Oat Bites with Fruits 'Strawberry' I was surprised by how quickly these oats cook — just 3 minutes on the stovetop. Plus, you don't need to soak them, so it's a super quick and easy breakfast. I decided to make them with rice milk, heated it up to a nice temperature, but not boiling, and then poured it over the oats.All-Bright Oat Bites with Fruits 'Strawberry' The rice milk is pretty sweet on its own, so I didn't add anything else to the oats and it ended up being just right, even without adding salt.All-Bright Oat Bites with Fruits 'Strawberry' The oats rehydrate nicely, and the corn bits are nice and firm, so they don't get mushy too quickly.All-Bright Oat Bites with Fruits 'Strawberry' The strawberry flavor is more like dried cranberries, sweet and tangy, but without any artificial flavorings, which is a big plus. If you're looking for a strong strawberry taste, you might want to look elsewhere, but I was happy to find a natural flavor. The taste of the oats is nice and fresh, without any bitterness, and the quality of the oats is high, and the corn bits are nice and tasty too. The dried strawberries are clean, without any stems or seeds. There aren't a lot of them, but they're in keeping with the theme and taste nice. I also tried making this oatmeal with water, but I added a teaspoon of almond paste, like I like to do. When I made it with water, I did add a bit of salt and sugar, as it tasted better that way, without it being too bland. Which, of course, makes sense.I found that a 300-gram packet lasted me a whole week. But, of course, everyone's appetite is different, right? I'm not a fan of a giant bowl of oatmeal in the morning, so a 50-gram serving is perfect for me, and I just can't fit in any more, even if it's super tasty.
You can add cocoa powder to this mix to make a chocolate oatmeal. Sometimes, if I don't have any cocoa powder, I'll add a small piece of dark chocolate and when I pour in the hot water, it dissolves and I get a delicious chocolate oatmeal.
Should I add oil? I'm not a fan of butter, so I use vegetable oil instead, and it feels more filling to me.

This is an amazing breakfast mix - it's tasty, filling, and the packaging is super convenient with those zip-lock zippers. In my opinion, oatmeal is the least likely to get old, while other breakfast options get boring really quickly. I love the idea of adding candies - it's both healthy and delicious. I'm also happy to see corn flakes added to the mix, I used to make my oatmeal without them, but now I think it's even better with them. I'm tempted to try out other flavors of corn flakes from this line. And the strawberry flavor? I highly recommend it! What about you, what do you have for breakfast? Do you like breakfast?
Thanks for your attention and happy shopping!
