This premium infant formula is designed for babies from 0-12 months, providing essential nutrients for healthy growth and development. With its unique blend of ingredients, Nutrilon Premium 1 supports cognitive development, immune system function, and digestive health. Plus, it's easy to mix and digest, making it a great option for fussy eaters. As a parent, it's reassuring to know that Nutrilon Premium 1 is made with high-quality ingredients and manufactured to strict safety standards. We've been using it for a while now, and I'm impressed with the value for money – it's a great choice for families on a budget. I've noticed a big difference in my baby's mood and energy levels since switching to Nutrilon Premium 1. The formula is gentle on tummies and doesn't cause any allergic reactions. I've also been happy with the shipping and customer support from the manufacturer. Overall, I'd highly recommend Nutrilon Premium 1 to any parent looking for a reliable and affordable infant formula.

Our Formula Journey: Why We Switched from Nutricia Nutrilon Premium 1

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'll never forget the third day in the hospital when I had to supplement my milk with formula because it was just starting to come in. My little one would latch on, and as soon as I'd separate, they'd start crying. We decided to head to the nursery to grab a bottle of formula, and that's when we first tried Nutrilon Premium 1 by Nutricia. After leaving the hospital, we stuck with this formula for a while, but our baby developed an allergy to it, which was a major concern for us. We had to switch to a new formula, and that's when our formula journey really began. We tried Nutrilon Premium 1 for a while, but unfortunately, it didn't work out for us. We had to switch to a new formula, and that's when we started our formula journey.

After leaving the hospital, we stuck with this formula for a while.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Price: 1009 rubles.
Volume: 800 g.
Where to buy: marketplaces like Ozon or Wildberries, kids' and grocery stores, pharmacies.
Shelf life: 3 weeks after opening.
The formula comes in boxes with foil packets of 350, 400, 600, 800, and 1200 grams.
The packaging is tight, with a lid, which is super convenient to use.
You can buy a larger or smaller volume of formula in packets and transfer it to this container. The design of the formula is pretty cute, with a little white mouse on a blue background.
Under the lid, there's a tight protective membrane, a measuring spoon. What really impressed me was that the spoon clips onto the lid.
Everything is neat and tidy, the main volume of the formula doesn't get on the spoon.
There's a restrictor for removing excess formula.
There's detailed information from the manufacturer all over the box surface.
There's a table with the formula dosage by your child's age and volume.
There's a detailed explanation of how to prepare the formula, as well as the full composition.
The consistency of the mix is a dry, crunchy powder that's a milky color. It tastes and smells like dry milk.
I'll share my experience with Nutrilon Premium 1, which is suitable for babies from birth, 6, 12, and 18 months.
After leaving the hospital, I started producing milk, but it wasn't enough for my baby. We decided to continue supplementing with formula. Two unsuccessful months of trying to get my baby to latch and dealing with the aftermath of a C-section (I had to take meds that aren't allowed during breastfeeding to get my health back on track) led us to switch to full formula feeding.
We use 30ml of 40°C water per 1 measuring spoon of the mix. A 800g bottle lasts us 10 days. The mix dissolves quickly in water, but sometimes it forms lumps, so I just shake the bottle.
And yes, foam forms, which some people are scared of, but we're not. I think any mix will form foam if you shake it. Preparing the mix is easy, quick, and hassle-free – we didn't encounter any issues.
After preparation, the mix looks like regular milk. I haven't tasted it myself, but my baby enjoyed it and drank it willingly. Initially, my baby had some issues with bowel movements, so we introduced a probiotic mix from Nutrilon in the morning. We only experienced two episodes of colic during the entire time we used Nutrilon Premium 1.
What I noticed is that my baby would spit up about a teaspoon of the mix after each feeding, even when we were holding them upright and burping them. By the end of the second month, when we stopped breastfeeding, my husband and I noticed that our baby's neck, groin area, and folds on their legs would get wet, and their armpits would start to sweat.
We cranked up the heat in our apartment, started doing more air procedures, and drying out the 'weeping' areas with talcum powder. Two weeks of battling didn't yield any results, and to make matters worse, a rash appeared on my kid's cheeks that looked suspiciously like eczema.
That's when we consulted a dermatologist, who later prescribed treatment and diagnosed it as dermatitis. When I asked if it could be a reaction to the formula, she replied, 'No, there are other symptoms.' We treated it for a week, and managed to clear up the armpits and groin area, but the neck just got worse - it felt like layers of skin were peeling off, everything was moist, and there were tiny blisters. We went back to the dermatologist again, and she diagnosed it as 'staphydermia', adding just a topical antibiotic to the treatment. When I asked again if it could be a reaction to the formula, she said, 'It could be anything - the powder, diapers, clothes, formula, or even the older kid (who might be bringing in infections from daycare).'
Another week of treatment, with no results. Meanwhile, I started wondering if this reaction could be related to the formula after all. I took a closer look at the ingredients, and what did I see? Palm oil!
Nothing against it, but I started thinking - could this be an allergy to that component, or a reaction to the lactose? I couldn't take looking at my kid's red cheeks and painful skin anymore, so I started thinking about switching formulas.
The day of our scheduled pediatrician appointment arrived. I explained our problem, and got the response, 'Allergy to the formula, switch ASAP.' When I asked, 'Why did we feed this formula for two months without any issues, and then suddenly it started causing a rash?' I got, 'Well, there was breast milk in the mix before, which somehow "diluted" the irritating components of the formula.' That same day, we bought a different formula.
Now, after a week of eating this new formula (five days of transition), we're seeing some improvement - the neck has lightened up, dried out, and the blisters are almost gone. There are still some minor flakiness on the cheeks, but maybe this was indeed an allergy to the formula or a reaction to some of its components.
We've been down this road before, and it's not easy. Every baby is unique, and their health and immunity levels can vary greatly. Unfortunately, our baby developed an allergy to Nutrilon Premium 1, which was a major concern for us.
On the plus side, the formula is easily accessible and widely available in different gram quantities. It also mixes quickly and easily.
However, there were some downsides. What really got my goat was how the formula kept sticking to the spoon.
The formula itself is quite sticky. Plus, when there's a bit left at the bottom of the bottle, getting it out is a real challenge. I don't like storing it because of the risk of contamination, so I end up either digging it out or flipping the bottle over and pouring out the leftovers. And with a shelf life of just three weeks after opening, it's not exactly convenient. We wish you good health and a positive attitude!
