Nika Bathroom Laundry Dryer

I've got a tiny bathroom, and space is a premium. That's why I'm obsessed with my Nika Bathroom Laundry Dryer - it's a total game-changer. This compact little guy fits perfectly in the corner, and the design is sleek and modern. But what really impresses me is how easy it is to use. The interface is super intuitive, so even my non-tech-savvy friends can figure it out. Whether I'm drying a load of delicates or a bunch of towels, this dryer gets the job done quickly and efficiently. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm consistently blown away by the build quality and the fact that it's so quiet. It's honestly a total value for money - I'd highly recommend it to anyone with a small bathroom.

A Mixed Bag: My 2-Year Experience with the Nika Clothes Dryer

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've had the Nika SB4 clothes dryer for two years now, and while it's been a decent addition to my laundry routine, it's not without its drawbacks. The compact design was a major selling point for me, and it's been a great space-saver in my small apartment. However, the installation process was a bit of a challenge, and I had to get creative with the mounting hardware to get it to work properly. The dryer itself has been reliable, but the foldable design is a bit flimsy, and I've had to be careful not to knock it over. It's been a solid performer, but I wouldn't say it's a total game-changer. I've had to deal with some issues, like the foldable design being a bit unstable, and the customer support could be more responsive. Still, I think it's a good value for the money, considering its compact size and decent build quality.

Hello everyone!
I'm excited to share my thoughts on a rather mixed bag purchase - the Nika SB4 wall-mounted clothes dryer (Article: 2734-Nika).
This review is coming up to the 2-year anniversary of using this contraption.
The Back Story
I'd had my eye on a wall-mounted clothes dryer for ages, but it wasn't until I'd had my IKEA dryer for a while that I thought, 'You know what? That's just not enough space.'
At first, I considered a retractable line in the bathroom, but it just didn't feel right. Then I remembered that awful dryer on the radiator I'd had in my previous place, and I thought, 'No way am I going back to that.'
It wasn't until I visited a friend in a tiny flat and saw one of these things that I thought, 'Yes, that's the ticket.' But it was a lot bigger than I'd imagined, so I started looking for a smaller one.
The Purchase
As it turned out, buying this thing was a bit of a challenge! I couldn't find it in any of the local hardware stores, and online retailers didn't seem to have it either. But if you're determined to find something, you will. And I eventually tracked down the Nika SB4 wall-mounted clothes dryer. The link to the store is below.
The dryer cost me 420 rubles.
Now it's selling for 630 rubles.
Technical Specs:
Working length, m: 10 Load, kg: 10 Weight, kg: 4.1 Dimensions (open): 144x62x9 Dimensions (folded): 72x62x9 Type: wall-mounted
Using It
I picked up the dryer myself, and it was wrapped in thermal tape. At first glance, it seemed pretty solid. I even gave it a bit of a spin on the spot and thought, 'Yes, this should be fine.'
It wasn't until I got it home that things started to go wrong.
The dryer folds and unfolds like this: you press a button with one hand, and then move the other wing into place with the other.
The button. The button, however, is a bit of a character. Sometimes it's easy to press, and the wings unfold with no problem. Other times, it's really stiff, and you struggle to get it to budge. And occasionally, it just won't press at all. I mean, without getting too worked up, it's a bit of a challenge to assemble this thing.
I noticed a rubber plug on the other side of the button, and over time it started to come loose. It's not the prettiest thing, but it doesn't bother me. To be honest, I only noticed it when I was writing this review.
Rubber plug. The screws near the plug are loose. They don't affect the dryer's performance, but they're an eyesore. I couldn't tighten them, as it seems the threads are stripped.
The legs of the dryer are made of rubberized plastic. They're super stable. I have no complaints about the legs.
They grip the edge of the bathtub firmly and won't budge.
On the other side, there's a lip that goes over the joint between the bathtub and the wall or directly onto the wall.
The dryer can be installed on the bathtub in two ways:
One wing rests on the bathtub's edge, while the other is on the wall.
I'm assuming this setup is for hanging longer items.
I don't use this method, though. The design looks flimsy to me, and I'm not about to force it.
Incidentally, I've never managed to install the dryer at a 90-degree angle like the manufacturer suggests (there's a picture of this on the main review page). The wings either bend or stay straight (like in my photo).
The dryer is installed on the bathtub's edges.
I've been using it just like that. I only hang lightweight items on it.It's super hot in our bathroom, and our exhaust fan is super powerful. So, things dry up super fast. In the bedroom, with the big dryer, things take longer to dry.
This is the first plus of this dryer.
The second plus of this dryer is its compactness. When folded up, it takes up very little space.
But, unfortunately, it's not very sturdy. While I was taking these photos, the dryer fell over about 10 times. If you store it 'behind the closet', you won't have any issues.
Is It Easy to Use?
The answer to this question will be very subjective, and everyone's answer will be different.
I'll try to break it down:
From a technical standpoint, the construction has never let me down:It never fell in the bathroom,It didn't rust after 2 years,It didn't break. But I don't hang heavy items like jeans, jackets, sweaters, and the like on it. Only lightweight ones.
Also, I only set it to the 'ceiling' position, as it seems the most stable to me.
I hang things on this dryer at night, when everyone's washed and gone to bed. When I'm 100% sure the bathroom won't be needed for the next few hours. So, no one experiences any discomfort from this design.
Also, I hang things on this dryer when we're leaving for a long time, and there's a small load of laundry before we leave. On the big dryer in the bedroom, I don't leave things for too long, as they tend to fade (I had a previous experience where things on the bedroom dryer faded after a few months).
So, this design, although it may seem ridiculous and flimsy, completely meets my expectations.
I highly recommend ❤️ I haven't regretted buying it once in the 2 years I've used it!
I think it won't be suitable for those who:
Have a very humid, cold, and damp bathroom,Need to use the bathroom frequently,Need to dry large, heavy items.
It's worth checking out our review of the Crocodile Patrol, which keeps popping up in the background. I've also got a review of the Aussie Mega Instant shampoo, which claims to be a game-changer for washing your hair without any added extras.
