I've been using scalp scrubs for years, and they've become a staple in my hair care routine. They help me avoid all sorts of nasty issues like itchiness, dandruff, and, of course, promote healthier hair growth. Today, I'm excited to share my thoughts on the scalp scrub from Natur Sibierica, specifically designed for strengthening and growing hair:
Overall look: The packaging is pretty nice, with both the cardboard box and the bottle itself looking sleek. There's all the necessary information, which is great for me – I like to know what I'm getting. The bottle is soft to the touch, making it easy to squeeze out the product. There's even a sticker on the cardboard box to protect it during first-time use.
Shelf life - you can find the expiration date on both the bottle and the cardboard box. After opening, it lasts for 12 months.

On the ingredients front, this product has a good mix of extracts, AHAs and BHAs, as well as biotin and caffeine. However, the main pilling components - the acids - are a bit further down the list, which means there's not as much of them as I'd like. You can definitely tell this by the effect.

It removes stubborn scalp impurities, leaving a clean and fresh sensation, restores the healthy balance of moisture and lipids, and stimulates hair growth. Prepares the scalp for deeper penetration of ingredients from subsequent care stages, amplifying their effects. Panax Ginseng Root Extract: strengthens hair roots, reduces shedding, and awakens dormant follicles. Caffeine: stimulates hair follicle activity. Biotin: noticeably accelerates hair growth with regular use.
I was really hoping this peel-off mask would leave my scalp feeling refreshed and stimulated, while also promoting growth. And, to be honest, it did deliver on those fronts. A good peel-off mask should be able to deep clean and stimulate growth, right? I wanted to get that same feeling of refreshment and stimulation for my scalp. And, of course, any growth would be a nice bonus.
Application:
Divide your hair into 6-8 sections. Apply the peel-off mask to the sections, then massage it into your scalp with gentle circular motions. Leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse with plenty of water, then move on to the toner-spray for hair, "Re-grow". For the best results, use it in conjunction with other products from the "Re-grow" series.
Now, I do have a question - do I apply the peel-off mask to clean or dirty hair? The product name says "pre-shampoo", but the application instructions have me a bit confused. I tried both ways, and to be honest, I didn't notice a huge difference either way.
Applying it to clean hair is definitely more convenient, though. I shampoo my hair, apply a hair mask, and then apply the peel-off mask to my scalp. After 10 minutes, I rinse it all out with water.
However, I did notice that my hair volume seemed to decrease a bit when I used it this way.
My hair and scalp type:
My scalp is sensitive, so I prefer shampoos with gentle surfactants or well-balanced formulas. My hair is normal, and I wash it every 3-4 days. It's about 80cm long, and it likes lightweight products with a focus on hydration. I've been coloring my hair with henna for over 7 years, and I do it every 1-2 months.
Usage and results: as I mentioned, I tried both applying it before and after washing my hair.
I have to say, I was really disappointed with the results. When I used it on dry hair, the scrubbing effect was basically nonexistent. There was no sense of cleanliness and freshness in my hair, but that's not really surprising since it's not like it's going to clean my hair or anything.
When I used it right after shampooing, the scrubbing effect was still pretty weak, and to make matters worse, my hair started to get greasy faster than usual. The volume at the roots was also less than when I just used shampoo alone.
Unfortunately, this product didn't do anything to alleviate the itchiness I get after traveling and exposing my hair to new water. I had to use a separate product to get rid of it.
Overall, I didn't see any benefits from using this product at all. At least it didn't make things worse.
