I'm always on the lookout for new creative projects to work on during the holidays, and I stumbled upon the MiniVerse Magic Ball online. I was excited to try it out and see what kind of fun I could have with it.
At first, I was a bit skeptical about the price - $1200 seemed a bit steep for a hobby kit. But, I managed to snag it for 400-500 bucks on Avito, and I thought it was worth a shot.
When I opened the box, I was surprised by how big the ball was and how well it was packaged. It came with two labels and a stand for the surprise item inside.
After removing the labels, I found the base of the ball - it's a stand for the surprise item inside, which I'll reveal later.
Inside the ball, I found a ton of instructions in different languages and sealed packets with various items for creating figurines.

Unpacking the packets
I was excited to see what was inside the packets, and I was surprised to find a bottle of resin and a mysterious box in the shape of an aquarium.
When I opened the box, I found that I had gotten the right thing - epoxy candles. It was funny because I'm used to working with epoxy for candle-making, not burning candles.
Candle assembly
I got all the parts and started assembling the candle. It was super easy - just insert the wick, pour in the epoxy from the bottle, and you're done. It's not like actually making candles.
The liquid in the bottle is what I'd call epoxy, but I'm not so sure it is - it has a strong smell and I've heard it's not safe to breathe in. I'd recommend wearing a mask when working with it. I dried it under a UV lamp for my nails, but I think you can also do it in the sun.
I dried it under the UV lamp, then added a bit more epoxy on top and carved the orange shapes. I left it to dry under the lamp again.
To get the best out of these little balls, you need to trim the wick, place them on a tray, and you're good to go.

I've got to say, these little balls are a wonder, but the price is steep - $1200 is a bit too much for me. If I hadn't managed to snag them for 400-500 bucks, I'd have given them a lower rating, but as it stands, I'm happy with my purchase.
