Choosing a Durable Nail Polish for the Holidays
I've got super weak and brittle nails that I always keep short. My go-to manicure is just a quick trim and a dark, almost black polish - always a simple glossy finish. Other options are super rare for me, for some reason, nothing else looks good on my nails.
And then I saw this dark polish on a friend's nails at an event, and I was like, 'That's my jam!' But it wasn't just any polish - it was a shimmer polish. Not that cheap pearlescent shimmer that looks super dated or tacky, but this mysterious, eye-catching sparkle that looked amazing under the lights.
Naturally, I wanted that polish too, and it turned out to be Masura's nail polish, which I was surprised to find was pretty affordable - I got it for 400 rubles, and now a single bottle costs around 200 rubles. I ended up buying two and I've been using it for different occasions when I want something that shines but isn't too over-the-top.
And now, with New Year's coming up, I remembered this polish because, well, when else?
✨ Description of Masura's Holographic Nail Polish
Let's take a look at the description of Masura's holographic nail polish with glitter:
Nail polish without a UV lamp - a durable finish for your unbeatable look. This colorful, easy-to-use polish dries quickly in the air and is perfect for at-home manicures and pedicures.
The special cap and wide brush, along with the perfect consistency, ensure a comfortable and quick application, a smooth and even finish. The rounded tip of the brush makes it easy to apply polish around the cuticles. This durable polish looks great on nails of any length or shape and keeps your manicure looking flawless for a long time without needing frequent touch-ups. The professional polish doesn't smudge and provides an even color without streaks.
The 11ml bottle will last you a long time - I've applied it in two layers and topped it off with a glossy finish. This manicure looks great with any everyday or special occasion outfit.
So, I chose two shades of MASURA nail polish, although there are a whopping twenty different color options to choose from, ranging from bold to pastel.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewI have no idea who comes up with these names, but they sound kinda weird.
The black nail polish is "Zvezdochka" - product code WB 262569720.
The red nail polish is "Koroleva" - product code WB 262568382.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewThe bottles are pretty small, but 11ml of polish is a decent amount, not tiny.
MASURA holographic nail polish review MASURA holographic nail polish reviewYou can even see the interesting texture of this polish in the bottles: it's not a pearl finish, not big glitter, but something in between shimmery and micro-glitter.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewBy the way, not all yogurts are created equal, and these MASURA holographic polishes are no exception. I've seen some with slightly larger glitters and some with mixed glitters in one shade.
But in these two shades, the glitter is super fine:
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewThe text on my shades reads 'black on black,' but if you look closely, you can make out the formula and other descriptions.
MASURA holographic nail polish review - Zazhigaet Zvezdy shadeThe brush on this polish is super comfortable to use - it's not too narrow, but not too bulky either, even for my tiny nails it glides on smoothly.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewFor those who like to keep their nail polish holders tidy, there's a plus - the cap comes off and you can use the ribbed mini-holder instead.

💅 APPLICATION AND WEAR OF THE GLITTER NAIL POLISH BY MASURA
I have to say, I really liked both shades I ordered. The 'Zazhigaet Zvezdy' black shade turned out to be a deep, rich black, not a dark grey with glitter like I was worried it would be.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewAt first glance, this shade reads as a deep black, and the glitter kicks in as you look closer.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewAnd let me tell you, the 'Beloved Rose of the King' red shade doesn't lean into a cheap pink - it's a deep, rich, vibrant red.
MASURA holographic nail polish review - Beloved Rose of the KingWhat's really cool is that these holographic polishes look different under various lighting conditions.
During the day, the glitter isn't as noticeable, and the shade takes center stage with the glitter being a nice bonus.
MASURA holographic nail polish review - Beloved Rose of the KingYou have to look closely to appreciate those tiny sparkles - there's no bling from afar.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewBut under electric lighting, the red shade becomes even more vibrant, and the glitter really starts to pop.
MASURA holographic nail polish review - Beloved Rose of the King MASURA holographic nail polish review - Beloved Rose of the KingI have to admit, I've never been a fan of shimmery polishes - I'd only do one accent nail for New Year's Eve, max.
But this polish has opened my eyes to a whole new world of glitter polishes.

MASURA holographic nail polish review MASURA holographic nail polish reviewCheck out these two shades of polish under electric light – that's usually the kind of lighting you'll find at parties.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewEach of these polishes has been applied in two coats over a base coat, topped with a clear top coat – standard procedure.
MASURA holographic nail polish review - Zazhigayushchaya Zvezda shadeThe polish applies easily, and its glitter helps hide any imperfections – you don't have to worry about a single speck.
It dries like regular polish, and once it's dry, the surface is hard and smooth – nothing will smudge or leave a mark.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewAnother thing that's important to me is that this fine shimmer doesn't make the surface of my nails feel rough – the glitter is so small that it doesn't even register when you touch it, which can be a problem with polishes that have larger glitter particles.
MASURA holographic nail polish review - Zazhigayushchaya Zvezda shadeFor me, that's a big plus – I love the smooth, glossy finish without any grit.
MASURA holographic nail polish reviewMy nails are super thin and delicate, so any regular polish only lasts me a couple of days (and that's being generous). MASURA holographic nail polish review MASURA holographic nail polish reviewBut let's be real, we all know that glitter in nail polish extends the life of your manicure by at least double. And that's exactly what's happening here: compared to regular polishes, these holos are lasting longer on me, holding up for five days without chipping.
Overall, I'm really loving the MASURA nail polish - from the price to the durability to its overall look, it's a winner in my book.
Whether I'm wearing a little black dress, a white tank top, or just a plain old t-shirt, these holos look great without being too flashy or cheap.
