I'm thrilled to share my first review on pregnancy tests because I finally got the two lines I've been waiting for at 27 years old!

How I found out about my pregnancy It was a Sunday morning, September 28th, and I suddenly realized I was a day late. I hadn't even thought about being pregnant!
I'd been trying for a while, but I wasn't expecting it this cycle because I'd missed ovulation (I track it with tests due to my irregular cycle, which is 5-6 days long).
I took the test as a joke, based on my past experience - as soon as you take the test, your period usually starts.
I left the test strip on the counter and went to do some laundry.
Two minutes later, I walked by the test and there were two lines.
I was in shock and didn't believe my luck, so I did another test, and it showed the same result.
I rushed to the pharmacy to get an electronic test and some from another brand, and they all said the same thing. I'm over the moon! I quickly calculated my due date - the baby's due on June 4th.
What a thrill! Having a summer baby is my dream come true.
I rushed to the lab to get my blood test done and shared the news with my partner that very same day. We were both ecstatic!
The next day, I received the results - a whopping 212. That's a great indicator for a first-day delay!
I was beaming with joy.

When things took a turn for the worse
The initial excitement was short-lived...
By Monday, the second day of my delay, I started experiencing severe stomach pain. It was intense and uncomfortable. My stomach was tight and spasming.
After reading online, I thought maybe it was just my uterus stretching. I hoped so.
I took magnesium, and my stomach felt a bit better.
But I barely slept that night - I was wide awake.
On Tuesday morning, I took another pregnancy test, hoping to see darker lines, but they remained the same as Sunday's. I decided to take another blood test to see the dynamic and understand when I could schedule an ultrasound. The blood test should have doubled by now.
I couldn't help but dream of strolling with a stroller and how everything would fall into place.
Wednesday. Wednesday finally arrived, and I got the blood test results, but my dreams were shattered by the numbers...
The blood test showed a 216 after 48 hours - a far cry from what I had hoped for.
I realized my pregnancy was coming to an end, even before it had a chance to begin...
From 198 on October 1st to 82 on October 3rd.
Biochemical pregnancy!
This is when fertilization occurs, but the embryo with a heartbeat doesn't develop and dies before it can implant.
At this stage, with such low numbers, it can't be controlled, stimulated, or corrected by medication or doctors! It happens due to genetic mutations in the sperm that prevent normal cell division, and the embryo simply doesn't develop, remaining at low levels and then exiting with the next menstrual cycle.
As my doctor said - it's almost a natural occurrence for most women throughout their lives, and it's actually a sign that our bodies are capable of pregnancy! It's just a natural selection, and nature doesn't allow genetically flawed children to be born...
It might be a little easier to deal with, but it's still disappointing.
I cried for a couple of days, then I came to my senses and decided it was for the best. My body knows what it's doing, and the pregnancy was essentially over before it began.
Here's what the pregnancy tests look like in a biochemical pregnancy:
I've been waiting for what feels like an eternity to see a second line, and it finally happened – 8 days after I found out I was pregnant, and 8 days after I took a test that turned out to be a dud. And guess what? Today I started experiencing some premenstrual symptoms, which is exactly how a biochemical pregnancy ends – naturally and without any medical intervention. My hCG levels have dropped to tiny numbers, and my period is on its way. As you can see from the test, the second line is where the magic happens – where the hCG levels are high, and where the number is small. I have to say, I'm a bit relieved to have finally gotten a positive test result, even if it's not the result I was hoping for.
I've bought more of these tests and I'm waiting for my next cycle to roll around – fingers crossed!
