MAC Powder Kiss Reviews

I tried the mikvets lipstick and love how creamy and smooth it feels. It slides on like a dream, stays vibrant all day, and doesn’t dry my lips at all—perfect for everyday wear.

MAC Powder Kiss Teddy 2.0 – Sweet, Matte Lipstick That Feels Like Cream

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been using MAC Powder Kiss Teddy 2.0 non‑stop, and not gonna lie—it’s become my go‑to shade. The formula feels like a creamy balm at first, then sets to a soft matte that holds up through coffee runs and Zoom calls. I picked it up at the MAC counter in Dubai Mall, where the sales associate spoke Russian, which made shopping a breeze. Yeah, it’s more expensive than buying it overseas, but the sleek packaging and wear give it solid value for money. Below’s the lowdown on what I love and what could be better.

Hey everyone! ☀️
Let me tell you about my go‑to lipstick – I’ve used it so much it’s almost gone, but I’d buy it again even with its biggest flaw. Yep, I’m talking about MAC Powder Kiss.
I picked it up at the MAC counter in Dubai Mall. Lucky me, the sales associate spoke Russian, so it was super easy. I only knew I wanted the Teddy shade, but I didn’t realize there were a few versions. She showed me two, and I went with Teddy 2.0 – a super pretty, soft pink 💖
I don’t remember the exact price – I was picking up a few other things and didn’t focus on it – but I did notice it costs around 3,200 ₽ here, definitely pricier than overseas.
The packaging totally justifies the cost. The tube is matte, looks luxe, feels nice in the hand, and it doesn’t leave a mess 😍 I also own another MAC matte lipstick that comes in a glossy tube, which looks completely different.
The color is gorgeous and it happens to match most of my lip liner shades, so it pairs with any nude, even those with brown undertones. The finish is powdery, but it glides on like a cream, no need to moisturize your lips first. It doesn’t dry out over time, yet it looks matte—fantastic ✨ 😄 The catch? It’s not long‑lasting at all! If you’re not eating, it’ll stay for a couple of hours, but otherwise it kinda fades away.
It smells amazing, and the surprise is that it’s actually sweet! It takes me back to my teenage days when I’d dab something sugary on my lips for a kiss…yeah, me too 😄
For a solo test and a combo test I tried the VS liner in shade 1; they match perfectly in my opinion, plus the liner is water‑proof and boosts the lipstick’s wear time.
I don’t prep my lips unless they’re seriously dry or cracked; in that case I apply a bit of lanolin beforehand (see my post), then wipe off any excess before the lipstick.
Version 1: lipstick only. This gives that “just‑kissed” vibe and works for a no‑makeup look, but I never wear it without a liner.
Version 2: with Vivienne Sabo Volume 1 liner. This is my everyday go‑to; I love how they play together.
So here’s the side‑by‑side: lipstick alone vs. lipstick plus liner. The difference is obvious, and now you see why I prefer the liner combo 😄 My lips look fuller, more defined, and the lipstick lasts longer.
The shade is stunning, I’m obsessed 🫶🏼 I have a trip planned for September, so I’ll stock up on a few more Teddy 2.0s. Buying them back home is a pain 🐸, but I highly recommend them!
Even though the staying power is a bummer, the lipstick itself is great, especially in this shade. I haven’t tried the other colors, but a waterproof liner helps a lot. You could also lightly powder the lips with a tissue, but I don’t do that.
9/10 ✨ Thanks for reading!

live_helpFeatured FAQ

What is the finish of MAC Powder Kiss Teddy 2.0?

It delivers a creamy‑matte finish that feels soft on the lips but dries down to a velvety matte that lasts for several hours.

How long does Teddy 2.0 stay on without touch‑ups?

On average it holds up for 5–6 hours, depending on eating, drinking, and how oily your lips are.

Is the Teddy 2.0 shade suitable for everyday wear?

Absolutely. The soft pink is neutral enough for work, yet playful enough for evenings out, making it a versatile everyday color.

Does the formula feel drying?

It starts off creamy and hydrating, but after a few hours it can feel a bit drying on very dry lips, so a quick lip balm underneath helps.

How does the packaging compare to other MAC lipsticks?

The tube is sturdier and more polished than the standard MAC lipstick, giving it a premium feel that justifies part of the price.

Can I buy MAC Powder Kiss Teddy 2.0 online and get it shipped to my country?

Yes, MAC ships internationally, but be aware that shipping fees and local taxes can add to the overall cost.

Is the Teddy 2.0 shade true to the swatch in store?

The in‑store swatch is reliable; the actual lipstick matches the soft pink hue shown on the tester.

How does the price of Teddy 2.0 compare to buying it overseas?

In Dubai the lipstick runs about 3,200 ₽, which is noticeably higher than the price you might find on overseas sites, but the local packaging and support are included.

What kind of customer support does MAC offer for lipstick issues?

MAC provides a helpful return policy and responsive customer service, especially at flagship stores like the Dubai Mall counter.
