A Natural Lip Color Solution: My Experience with LUXVISAGE's Tints

I've been on the hunt for a lip color that lasts all day without that weird texture you get with lip glosses. So, I decided to give tints a try - I'd never used them before, but I'd heard great things about how natural they looked.

When I was browsing online, I stumbled upon LUXVISAGE, a brand that caught my eye with their LIP TINT AQUA GEL hyaluron complex line. I was drawn in by their reputation, cute colors, and affordable price point.

Price varies between 160-500 rubles across different platforms. That's a pretty wide range, but I guess it depends on where you're shopping.My first thought when I saw the bottles was that they looked like tiny test tubes - a bit weird, but hey, at least they're unique.

When I applied them with a wet brush, the colors looked super vibrant and fun.

But after they dried, they weren't as bright as I was hoping.For the sake of experimentation, I tried to catch the moment when my lips were at their palest - before they'd been 'worked' and were at their most natural. That way, I could see how much color the tints would add. Since they're semi-transparent, I figured my natural lip color would affect the final result.

05 Wine red (Krasное вино)

First up, I bought this shade - 05 Wine red. I spent ages deciding which one to choose, but I thought this one would be the most natural-looking on me.

I was expecting a bold look, but one coat and it just seemed too normal. Two coats and it was like I'd been splashed with cold water - my lips felt numb. There's this weird blue-ish tint going on. Maybe it's cool for some people, but it didn't do it for me. Wine Red (05) I apply it with the applicator and then smudge it with my finger to avoid harsh lines. If I don't, it just looks like a neat little line (or a wonky one, depending on my skills). On my finger, the cold undertones are more noticeable - the color's leaning towards burgundy: The applicator's a flexible, fuzzy little tip that's a pleasure to use. You can even see a hint of purple undertones in the fuzz itself: I tried it as a blush, and let me tell you - speed is key when applying. If you don't get it on fast, you'll end up with blotches. But if you can manage to blend it quickly, it looks surprisingly natural. Looks like blood, right?) 01 Aperol (Aperol)

I'm not a wine fan, so I opted for a warmer, lighter shade, and Aperol was my choice (funny enough, both of the tints I picked were named after cocktails).

Some people said it's just 'watered down' and the color is too weak.

The color transitions to coral-pink. There's no Aperol orange in it, although the applicator does have a similar vibe:

The look with it is soft and gentle, exactly what I was looking for.

It's natural, but already looks more interesting on my skin, in my opinion.

Why I'm giving four stars instead of five? I was looking for a solution to a very specific problem, and the downsides I found are exactly what's holding me back:StainingEvery time I get it on liquids, it's a real pain to clean. And because they're semi-transparent to begin with, the stain can disappear quickly, like it never happened.

Unpleasant tasteIt doesn't leave a residue, but the taste is definitely there, and it's not great. It's got a bit of a bitter aftertaste, and I don't really want to share it with my loved ones.

Dries out my lipsDespite the manufacturer's claims of moisturizing, I've found that it actually dries out my lips after a few applications. It's like my skin is getting tighter and drier by the minute.

The Verdict The colors are nice, and they do accentuate my natural features. If I'm not planning on eating or kissing, they're actually pretty good. But if I add a lip balm or a clear gloss on top, that takes care of the dryness. Still, I wouldn't use these as my everyday lip color - maybe just for a change of pace every now and then.
