Alilo Three Little Cats Night Light

My kid's super sensitive to light, but this Alilo night light has been a total lifesaver. It's got calming music and fun stories to help my little one wind down before bed - it's seriously helped with bedtime. I'm really impressed with the build quality and battery life - it's a great value for money. I've been using it for a while now, and it still feels solid, with a battery that lasts longer than I expected.

summarizeEditor's Summary

We've had Korzik for a year now, and while it's been a great addition to our little one's toy collection, it's not without its flaws. The build quality is surprisingly solid, with a sturdy ABS plastic and silicone design that can withstand rough play. The sounds are clear and engaging, and the colorful cards that come with it are a nice touch. However, the loud button click can be annoying, and the bright lights might be overwhelming for some kids. The toy's size can be a bit too big for some little ones, and the battery life could be better. Overall, it's a decent toy that's worth the money, but it's not perfect. It's been a valuable addition to our playroom, and we've enjoyed watching our child learn and grow with it. But we've also encountered some issues that we wish were addressed. Still, we'd recommend Korzik to other parents who are looking for a fun and engaging toy for their kids.

Our Korzik has been with us for a year now!
It's definitely worth the money, but it's not without its downsides.
Alilo's Korzhik is our second toy from this manufacturer, but I wanted to write a review specifically about this one. We bought it when our little one was six months old, and now that they're 18 months, they're still going strong. Over the past year, we've had a chance to try out all the features, so I'll do my best to cover the pros and cons in this review.
Where I bought it: Wildberries
Product code: 121096100
Price: 2,995 RUB
Materials: ABS plastic, silicone
Country of origin: China
Dimensions: 16cm (height), 6cm (width)
Age restrictions: 0+
The toy looks quite appealing to a child. Korzhik is a cute and recognizable character.
The body of the toy is plastic, while the hat and scarf are made of blue silicone, and the ears are orange. My initial concerns about the silicone parts being chewed on were unfounded. The ears and hat turned out to be very sturdy, with no signs of wear from being used as a teething toy.
The stomach of the toy has a button. It's mainly used to switch between sounds, songs, and stories. You can also turn off the backlight on the ears by holding the button for a bit longer.
On the reverse side, Korzhik has a tail that's both decorative and functional. It allows you to turn the toy on or off and adjust the volume.
Under the tail is the charging port, which I think is nicely positioned - it's not easily accessible during play, so it doesn't get clogged.
However, the speaker is placed somewhat inconveniently, on the back of the toy. This might be why the toy is moderately loud, but the speaker tends to get clogged with food, spit, and it's not easy to clean. If liquid gets into the speaker, it starts making a weird noise, but once the toy dries out, the noise goes away.
One thing that really stands out about the design of this toy is the paint job on the face. The nose was a bit worn down even when I first got it, and the rest of the paint started to chip after some use. I'd read a lot of reviews from buyers who'd purchased the Alilo Korzhik and Caramelka toys, and the paint quality was a common complaint. The paint on Korzhik is the same, but it's not as noticeable.
The base of the toy is flat, and it doesn't have a sensor like the Alilo toy does, but it does have some technical info.
The cards are made of sturdy cardboard. My little one plays with them a lot, but so far, none of them have torn or gotten bent.
One side has a letter, and the other has a character from the 'Three Cats' cartoon and a rhyming poem.
The instructions are super clear and easy to follow. The text is broken up into tables with informative illustrations.
Like I mentioned earlier, the toy is controlled using the tail and the button on the belly.
The only drawback with the button is that it makes a pretty loud click when you press it. It's not a big deal during the day, but if the toy is set to sleep mode, it's hard to turn off the light without making a noise.
As I mentioned, you can turn the light on and off by holding the button down for a while. The manufacturer says it has a soft red glow, but to me, the light is way too bright, and in the dark, Korzhik looks more like a little devil than a cute toy. Too bad you can't adjust the light's brightness.
The manufacturer claims the toy works for 5 hours on a single charge. Maybe that was true at first. Now it seems like the battery lasts for about 3 hours...
By the way, during charging, the cat's ears glow red, and they turn off when the battery is fully charged.
We've been using the toy for a year now. It's become a reliable companion for our little one. Despite being used extensively, the toy has shown itself to be quite durable. It's survived falls from the stroller onto the asphalt, occasional water splashes, and strong impacts.
However, the toy does have one peculiar issue we didn't notice with the Alilo Zaychik. When the battery runs out, Korzhik starts talking in Chinese. At first, we were confused because he'd sometimes speak in a female voice on the Chinese language and then switch to the 'Repeat' mode. We figured it out by trial and error that the toy just needed to be charged. I think it would've been better to include a voice warning to avoid startling the child with unexpected Chinese chatter.
Another minor issue is that when I received the toy, it came in a well-packaged but slightly crushed box. So, if you're planning to gift this toy, it's best to avoid marketplaces.
The main concern I had was that the child would poke their eyes with the cat's ears. I was wrong to worry. When the baby gnawed on the silicone headband, the ears were safely out of the way.
Sound quality is top-notch, with crystal-clear audio
Features are plentiful, with multiple modes to choose from
Ease of use is a breeze, with simple repeat song settings
Auto-shutoff is convenient, kicking in after 45 minutes
Durability is impressive, surviving multiple drops
Water resistance is a plus, withstanding accidental water exposure
Safety is a priority, with soft ear cups and a helmet that won't harm little ones
Wear and tear is a concern, with paint on the front wearing off quickly
Screen brightness is a bit too harsh in the dark, with a red glow that's overwhelming
Charging type is a minor annoyance, with a non-Type-C port
Battery life is shorter than expected, draining quickly
Button responsiveness is a bit too loud, with a jarring click when pressed
Despite some drawbacks, this toy left a generally positive impression. The features and reliability outweigh the minor flaws. I especially like that it's suitable for kids of all ages. I'd confidently recommend it for purchase.
