How Imaginarium Toys Became Our Family's Favorites

summarizeEditor's Summary

I stumbled upon Imaginarium, a toy store, in 2010 while traveling with my husband and one-year-old son in Spain and Italy. What caught my eye was the unique entrance – two separate doors, one for adults and one for kids. This store has been a total game changer for our family, and I'm excited to share our experience with you.

I was introduced to Imaginarium, a toy store, in 2010 when my one-year-old son was visiting his grandparents. My husband and I were on a trip to Spain and Italy, and I was feeling a mix of emotions - sadness at being away from our baby for the first time, but also excitement for our adventure.
Looking back, it's crazy how much we enjoyed the trip. We were wandering around the central street of Barcelona when we stumbled upon this massive toy store that just couldn't be missed. What caught my attention was the unique entrance – two separate doors, one for adults and one for kids. At the time, I'd never seen anything like it.
We ended up buying two toys there – a DJ controller and a bath game with penguin slides. The former was an absolute hit with my little one, and he still loves it to this day. Unfortunately, the bath game didn't quite fit our standard, cast-iron bathtub.
DJ ControllerThe quality of these toys is unmistakable just by looking at them. Some people might argue that they're a bit pricier than average, but I'm more than happy to pay a bit extra for quality. What really impresses me is how well thought out and intuitive they are!
Playing with the ball for younger kidsJust press the button and the ball rolls - it's great for developing cause-and-effect understanding!Catapult - try to hit the holeImaginarium is the name of the stores, but the company behind these toys is called ItsImagical. They're Spanish, but the toys are actually made in China. Now, I know what you're thinking - China can be a bit of a mixed bag. But to be honest, it's not a major concern for me, given the quality of these toys.
When I got back to Moscow, I started looking for the Imaginarium store in Russia. It turned out that they were planning to open up locations in major Moscow shopping centers soon. Since then, we've been regular customers at those stores.
Here are some more of our toys - and this is just a small selection.
Kid's karaoke for two brothers =)Playing with 4-year-olds at the table. The bee has to hold up.I've got to say that the series with toy cars is a real winner. These little critters run on batteries and they're so full of energy. What I love about them is that you can buy the first set and gradually add more sets from the same series (parking, refueling) or just more cars. It's a lifesaver when you want to treat your kid but don't have a big budget.
The ability to build long roads is a big plusCars on batteries and without, the balls fit perfectly into the trunkTrain with soundOf course, I'm writing about cars because I have two boys, but I'm sure there's something for girls too. Lately, we've been interested in the musical instruments series. A real bayan, a mini version, an electric guitar, or a drum set - that's what my kids have been dreaming about.
One of the most interesting purchases in this store were the scooters. My child stood on them at 3 years and 6 months. Of course, I'm not saying they stood up and started moving right away, but they're able to move around pretty well while holding onto the handlebars or the walls. I'll definitely write more about them, as they're really great as a first scooter for a toddler.
Imaginarium now has an online store! I've never actually ordered from them before, but that's only because their physical store is conveniently located near my place. What's even cooler is that they've expanded to other locations beyond Moscow!
I've already raved about this store to all my friends and family, and I'm happy to recommend it to you too! You won't regret it.

For all the anxious parents out there, I highly recommend these kids' books:
"Sokrovishche ostrova Buziny" by VALKO - these adventure stories about Mishka-Lakomka and Zayets-Rytsar are a real treat!
"Papa, mama, babushka i vosem detei v Dani" - this is the continuation of a book that many people have fallen in love with.
