A Happy Accident: My Experience with Icon Skin's Enzyme Cleansing Mask

I stumbled upon this mask in a Telegram channel where it was being sold at a discount on Ozon because the brand had accidentally printed the packaging with typos. I wasn't planning on buying it, but I'd heard of the brand before, and I like their products, so I thought, why not?

I'm always on the lookout for good face masks, especially for my combination skin, and this one seemed like a great option. I mean, who doesn't love a good enzyme mask, right?

The tube itself is a sleek white design with a flip-top lid. It's very easy to use, and the packaging is quite nice, if I do say so myself. The cardboard box, on the other hand, features the brand's signature orange and white gradient, which is a familiar sight in their vitamin C series. You might notice that the brand periodically updates its design, so the tube itself might look different from what I'm used to.

One thing that caught my eye was the texture - it's dense, but also somehow light and airy, like a rich soufflé. The bright yellow color is a nice touch, and the citrus scent is invigorating. You can definitely feel the exfoliating grains in the mask, which are a bit large, but soft and gentle on the skin. I've used other masks that have been way harsher than this one.

The ingredient list is impressive, with all the good stuff upfront, not hidden at the end. I mean, it's always a plus when you can see exactly what you're putting on your skin.

I have combination skin with enlarged pores, it's often dehydrated, and prone to hyperpigmentation and blackheads. I've tried a lot of different masks, but this one has been a real game-changer for me.

I use exfoliating masks and scrubs about 1-2 times a week in the evening, as my skin tends to get blackheads. I've found that using a mask like this one really helps to keep my pores clear and my skin looking smooth.

Using the product:

I apply this face mask to a clean face, avoiding the eye area, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. To remove it, I dampen my fingers with water and gently massage my skin for about a minute. Then, I rinse it off with cool water. After that, I apply a moisturizer that suits my skin type. I use it 1-2 times a week. If I have sensitive skin, I reduce the application time by half and avoid massaging my skin. For a more intense effect, I recommend using this mask in combination with other products from the RE:VITA-C series.

The mask spreads easily and stays put without dripping or running off. I've had masks that have been way more messy than this one, so that's a plus in my book.

After using this mask, my skin looks amazing – it's soft, smooth, and hydrated. The mask doesn't dry out my skin at all; in fact, it seems to give it a bit of a boost. It helps even out my skin tone, lightens dark spots, and makes my pores less noticeable.

I'm really impressed with how well it works with my skin tone and texture, and my face looks way fresher overall. To be honest, I didn't notice a huge glow effect - if anything, my skin just looks matte without any excess shine. I mean, that's not a bad thing, in my opinion.

Of course, the effect doesn't last forever - I noticed dark spots coming back the next day. But when used as part of my regular skincare routine, it's absolutely fantastic! I'm really loving this mask, and it's been a game-changer for my combination skin.
