Hello everyone!
I used to have a pretty basic garden, but I was looking for something more interesting. Orange lilies were everywhere, so I decided to mix things up and get some new varieties.
Now I'm a big fan of low-maintenance flowers, and hybrid lilies have been a game-changer for me. I just water them every other day and make sure they get some sunlight.
Hybrid Lilies
So, I bought the bulbs and planted them in the ground. I didn't dig too deep, just about 5 cm of soil on top and watered them.
In the first year, I fertilized them every two weeks, and they responded with an amazing bloom.
I used to just go to the store, ask the consultant for advice, and buy whatever they recommended. But now I'm a bit wiser.
Life got in the way, and I wasn't able to tend to my lilies as much as I used to. In the second year, I fertilized them only a couple of times.
However, the blooms were fewer, and the leaves were a bit wilted. Eventually, I got my routine back on track.
I bought a new lily bulb, and it's doing great. The height of the flowers is about 70 cm.
Taking a photo of the plant with its name on it helps me keep track of which one is which.
I water them every other day, and they're looking great. My helper loves taking care of them almost as much as I do!
When she's not busy being the star of the show, she loves to pose with the flowers.
I like to buy varieties that are similar in color so I can create a cohesive look in my garden.
The flowers are quite large, with petals that have a lovely, wavy edge.
The colors are really pretty.
Some of the flowers start to wilt and dry out, while others begin to bloom.
The leaves are long and thin, and they're really easy to handle.I've never cut myself on them. The edges aren't sharp at all.
After three years, they start to produce new shoots and the plant becomes thicker and more full.I love watching them spread out and create a lush display.
If you want to propagate them, you'll need to separate the bulbs that have formed.
I actually planted some lilies at the same time, and they did great in July. They took root.
One thing I've learned about flowers is that they can be pretty high maintenance. But hybrid lilies are a lot easier to care for than I thought.
Of course, flowers can be expensive, especially if you're looking for something unique. But with hybrid lilies, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Ask your neighbors for cuttings, and you'll end up with a bunch of the same flowers. I like having my own unique garden.
It's all about finding the right balance between looks and practicality.
I've had success with low-maintenance flowers, and hybrid lilies are definitely a top choice.
